Hi, I was about to make this and I realized it required 2 identical veghash from a factory, will it effect the outcome on the Vegeparsine if I use really good resources and a medium additive (87) on the veghash then stick it into the Vegeparsine? Personally I don't think so because no other subcomponents matter. Anybody know for sure, I never made this.

Stats on the veghash don't matter.. I don't even experiment on it.

Speaking of vegeparsine...is there something new that I don't know about? This used to be only a somewhat-decent seller for me and now I've sold like3-4 runs in 2 weeks. Grantedlike 20 crates was to one person but there have been quite a few people who have bought 3-4 crates a piece.
Very strange.

I've noticed an increase of purchases from jedi. There is talk that the cap on the defenses will bechanged to amuch higher numberso maybe they are taking the chance and loading up now. Can you imagine someone with 200 melee defense popping a vegeparsine and pikatta pie....untouchable

Can you make good Vegeparsine with crappy Veghash? I was just wondering because
it doesn't seem like you would profit from using high quality resources to make two crates
of food to create one crate of finished food.

Subcomponent quality has no effect on the final food (except for the additives). This applies even to foods that use other foods as components (veghash -> vegeparsine and pastebread -> cav cremes).
So when you're doing a run of veghash specifically for vegeparsine, don't use good resources, and definitely don't waste an additive in the veghash.

...and don't experiment the subcomp food either...it just increases the factory time to make it...

- a slight variation on this question:
do subcomponents for meds affect final quality (sorry - I know this is the Chef forum, but this thread got me thinking)? I am just wondering (and haven't tested it myself) if the same holds true for other crafted subcomponents.

I believe subcomponents for meds, weapons, armor, and harvesters have quality stats. Stim components have power/charges, weapon components can improve damage, speed, SAC, etc.
I think chef may be the only crafting prof where quality of resources effect the final item, but component quality doesn't.

I can confirm that med subcomps affect final quality of stims/enhancers etc...and I presume that as weapons can use looted components as well as crafted ones, that they are also affected by stats in subcomps.

Thanks guys - I agree with your thoughts. I spent some time in the BE forum and got mainly the same answers.
