So I'm a Bio Engineer on Starsider who has recently worked his butt off and now have a large stock of chef tissue to sell. I've posted on the trade forums, and I've consulted the vendors of the other BEs on the server, and I know I'm selling at a competitive price. How many active chefs are on Starsider? Are you all just stocked on tissue at the moment?

I make all my be componets. Its just to costly to buy premade. Your main customers will be people trying to break into chef or who do not have access to to the extra skill points. I did notice your prices went up from your last batch though. None the less i suggest looking into the specialty additives for medium and light flavor and filling lights. Some of the more established chefs might be tempted by it.

Been making my own tissue for 2 years now but if your tissue is +57 +87 +118 or better ill give you a try to help you get going. Send me a e-mail or a tell in game as soon as you can with your prices and we'll take it form there.

Thanks

Zin has been my BE since I got back in business a few months ago. Myself and Nevrada have been his primary customers but he has stock nearly all the time if not we usually come up with something for him to use. I think his current batch is 117 on INN's but the the micros and broads are right. Anyway, I thought he should talk to some chefs in game since I know there are other chefs out there that do not check the forums often

Thanks for the tip. Just curious though: most chefs are MBE or just the tissue and exp. lines? And as for the raise in my prices, I'm sure I dont have to tell you how rough it is finding good meat at the moment... However, I was lucky enough to buy several stacks of an old spawn. The raise in prices is to recoup what I paid for the meat. I'm confident I'm still competitive, though.

I understand 100% you were selling the additives under what it cost to make made it very tempting to buy you out. But yah your prices are about on par to what they should be. I think there is only one other vendor i know of that keeps additives stocked. As long as you keep above the 57/87/117 mark your business should pick up

When I was still cooking there was a BE named Australis Macroburst who was doing the same thing you are. He succeeded by becoming a very active promoter. Constant posts about his products on the trade forums, and barker droids in the most popular starports. I made my own components as a Chef as well, but I purchased from him occasionally because he really did make nice stuff and worked hard to keep stocked. He also had a number of user friendly amenities for Chefs, like full runs of tissues in labeled backpacks. He also offered delivery.

Just some suggestions on how to get your name out there. I would also second the recommendation from above to start working on the Flavor and Filling tissues. You may not sell a ton of these, but you can build a name for yourself just by stocking these, and that will bring in many Chefs that make their own anyway. I actually special order most of my food these days because I have a hard time finding certain recipes made with these fringe additives. However most of my friends have been adopting my tastes for food, so I am pretty sure that there will be a small but visible increase in the interest of Filling and Flavor tissues.

Good luck!

well, i always get flavour additives unless its food/drink that have the max stats when first making it, such as ruby bliel for example. u cant change it any higher then +30 stim time so i use filling or duration, but filling seems to be the way to go with that item.

but tend to try and get the nutitional value up as high as possible.
