Personally I'd rather they just take it out of the game entirely.

I wish you could use them on mando BoH and some other low yield drinks.

The game will no longer be sold before it is resolved.

Every time the correspondent mentions barrels, the chef community forms a lynching party. HAHA and I'm in the group myself. Foods and drinks are already a pain in the you-know-what so why add another component to the long list. There are so many other annoying bugs/broken items in the game that need the attention, why waste the time and effort on stuff most people don't want to see fixed.

Never mind the recipes we were promised .. WEDDING CAKE ANYONE? You think something like that they would try to return to the game as soon as possible.. it doesn't even need to have a buff on it.

This was one of my favorite things to make.

Wedding cake was a game breaker I guess.

looking at the requirements for barrels, i'm kinda glad that they aren't in game to be honest. Casks are a pain enough! Although, it would be nice to have a larger multiplier for low yield drinks. Can't have it both ways I guess

Very true.

If they were in the game you would just charge a premium for barreled drinks.
