Thank you to those who answered my question on control units and conditioners ...

So it looks as though I will have to try an alternative money-spinner ...

How about Trims ? Does the quality of Trims matter to chefs ? Is there likely to be a market for trims, if I start to sell them ?

Thanks again

You might find a market for that. Stats on resources for trim makes no difference so you can use the poor quality stuff. If you have a vendor, make full runs of trim (40 crates) and place it in a backpack. Alot of the chefs used the skillpoints to get the ability to make this since it took so few but they might be willing to give it up for something else if they had a dependable supplier. Also would open some slots that the different factory takes up. Really the chefs from your server should answer this question though.......Which server you on?

The quality does not matter at all on trim.

As for there being a market, you may want to approach newer as well as existing Chefs first and ask them what they would be interested in paying for the trim crates. Most Chefs who dont make these for themselves will most likely ask you to make a schem for them instead, but there might be a market for this. Most Chefs will only want Full runs though, meaning 40 full crates.

If you harvest your own Fiberplast and polymer, then you could charge very little for these crates and still have a hefty profit margin. Hell, even at 50k for a full run of trim you would be making about 125% profit. And you might be able to charge a good deal more than that. When I started Chef I bought crates of trim for 2-3k each. I didnt buy a lot of them, but I bought them because I didnt have a choice at the time.

Anyway, it wont be something that will make you insanely rich, but I bet you could set up a regular delivery schedule with some Chefs. That would be guaranteed income at least.

I didn't bother to pick up the skill. I pay a tailor 100k per run to make them for me. I usually oreder 10-15 runs at a time though. As for a vendor market there is some rrom there for profit but you will need to make server chefs aware of what you are doing and you might want to make sure you stock well.

I took up Tailor just so I will be able to make my own trim. That way I can make it when I wanted and needed it.

So far it has been very useful and cheap. I have tested it and the trim quality doesnt matter so buy up or harvest all that crappy Fiberplast and Chemical you can.
