Just got novice chef and i was wondering how to get light bio food components. I can't seem to find any. Any help would be welcome.

Find a Bio Engineer and promise them your firstborn.
But seriously, you just need to set up a relationship with a Bio Engineer on your server to have them either:
A: Have them gather resources and make tissues for you
B: You provide the resources and have them make the tissues for you
C: You provide the resources, have them make a schematic, and you make the tissues in your factory
Those are the 3 most popular options right now, it seems.

The other confusing bit is that a "light bio component" covers four different tissue types. A given BE may or may not know which of their schematics are considered "light", "medium", or "heavy".
Micronutrient supplement: provides roughly 52-58% bonus to nutrition (buff size). These are by far the most used, since you get the most bang-for-your-buck with a nutrition boost, customers are most impressed by high buff numbers, and these have the easiest resources to gather.
Multisaccharide Dimate: provides roughly 20-25% bonus to flavor (buff duration). Not too useful for the low-level foods that take light additives (since most of those have fairly long duration vs. filling), and requires milk.
Carboreductive Catalyst: provides roughly 8-12% reduction in filling. Again, not too useful since foods taking light additives usually have a naturally low filling. Requires both Dom Meat and Wild Meat.
Hyper Yeast Additive: provides roughly 180% increase in stack size (stack is 2.8x as big, decimals rounded down). In my experience, customers would much rather just buy more stacks with a larger buff size, so these are almost completely useless.
