Should I invest too much time to chef until after the CU? I am a new master chef and don't want to waste time or buy resources I won't be able to use.

If you haven't started yet, I would probably wait on most things... You should be safe making the Defensive food/drink, those shouldn't be changing... it's the stat buffs that are up in the air...

Interestingly enough, I just started a chef toon. My thoughts are probably similar to yours. I'll work on the boxes (I don't grind) but certainly won't pay tons of credits for resources until after the CU, and we know more about it.
I have yet to decide what other profession to go with it. It appears that there might not be enough SP to be BE/Chef. Of course, only time will tell, so I'll work on chef and merchant until the CU hits and we know more.

Naw Rimy, after the CU we should have enough sp to take BE/Chef as well as some merchant, 4440 artisan and 0010 tailor. That template makes you a pretty self-sufficient chef. The BE grind is kind of a pain but the ability to make your own food addies is well worth it, if you're committed to the profession

I'd like to be completely comitted with Sisae. It sounds like I should be grinding scout out with some sort of combat template before I fully commit to chef though. Thanks for the enlightenment

Email or /tell Aye if you want some help. During the week I'm usually logged in sitting in my house while doing hw, so I always appreciate it when people distract me
In the meantime, best advice I can give is to keep an eye out for good resources and be ready to hop on anything nice that spawns to get as much as possible
