Thread: Very apathetic response to the Future Updates...
I'm torn.
On the one hand, I admire everybody'sability to stay calm in the face of neglection. Nobody is complaining, whining, or even mentioning the fact that Chefs didn't get even one substantial boost (besides eggs) in the Future Updates. I think it shows we're mature and responsible posters who have faith in the developers and understand their decisions.
On the other hand, I'm discouraged that nobody is taking a stand to speak up. We are arguably (probably) the most neglected profession, period. So instead of fixing us, the developers chose to fix the most popular professions (like Creature Handler) for fear that all of those players will quit if they aren't attended to. I find it pathetic that the devs caved in to what is essentially "peer pressure" instead of doing what is best for the game and community as a whole.
But, o'well, I guess nobody here really cares about these Future Updates. I never realized we were such a non-torred bunch.
I will continue to post and be totally ignored, and I shall continue to submith 60+ bug reports every day.
These are suppose to be monthly updates...and if we don't see some improvement to the chefs in the next update, you will hear me yelling about it.
But for now...just gotta be patient.

I am not taking a stand because I was almost expecting it. Realistically, there are some things that need to be fixed more than chefs.
Yea, like Melons! Newbs starting with three Melonsis terrible! Thank goodness they nerfed that!
I was disappointed with what we the chefs got, but I was willing to look past that, because of all the other BEAUTIFUL WONDERFUL additions they made. I can sort of understand that currently its just not viable for them to put lots of resources into us, because like image designers, we represent a massvie minority, and few people have yet learnt the advantages of our services, so our existence is onlya minor detail to the game at the moment.
On a more interesting note, today with cooking IV and mixology III I made some granylin juice with crappy materials(I only was allowed to experiment to 40% or so) that gave +200/+50 for 5 minutes... that's only a mixology I recipe, so I wouldn't say we're doomed yet... I remember before I got cooking levels I thought granylin juice would suck forever... now I can't wait to see what other buffs I can make with cooking IV...(Some of these mixology III things need crazy stuff... and I need resources to do a factory run of aludian whatevers)
