It doesn't matter what quality the subcomponent is at the moment. I have collected about 10K of 930 overall quality reactive gas and I use it for the Tatooine Sunburn final combine only to make the good stuff last longer.

Yeah I noticed that too J, so I make most of my components out of crap and save the good resources for items in which it will matter.

thanks for confirming this for me... I used to use OQ 850 reactive gas(can only get 600 with current resource shift :/ ), but I could only experiment the time it lasted up to about 20%... so I just experiment stack size... when I'm selling at 300/use, with stacks of 6(which I can make nearly every time) I get 1800 and with stacks of 8(I cant make em anymore because of the stupid resource shift) I get 2400...

I noticed that some components do have an effect. I noticed it a lot when I was making dough and the noodles.

i made a soypro using the optional bio component that a bio eng gave me and a soypro without it. then i made meatlumps with the two of them and the one with the optional bio component gave about +15 in constitution. i used the same resources in both.

I leveled up to level 4 tissue engineer the compents did nothing

I asked on the bio engineer msg board they told me the only ones useful to chef really were at master..

and half the ones I had needed so much milk and eggs or mullesks it wasnt worth it..

I am in the process of forgetting bio engineer and getting comando so I can use a flamethrower even though they stink at least I can cook things

I used to experiment my starshine surprises for making sunburn, but it seems that they make no difference... I'm not seeing any difference with experimented alchohol/sullustan gin/whatever sub-components either? Anyone else see any? If so, what are you experimenting to give the improvement? At the moment there seems no point to trying to get good materials for subcomponents...

RebSol, not sure what you and other BEs are doing wrong, but the BE components I am making work just fine in my food. And I think experimentation is bugged in general as I get the same ramdom results with BE experimenting as I do with chef experimenting.

I just saw the launcher pistol for the first time today... it may not be as good(with our resources) as a master-made scout blaster, but **edit**, watching that thing is great

Forgot to mention, you need to make sure that you are using the right component otherwise you will not get any results. Putting a Bio-strenth component in a food that affects the aciton pool is going to be wasted. You need to pay attention to what the food buffs and what the component affects.
