At the moment i dont really care about quality until i alteast get mix 2 so what is a good food or drink gives the most xp?

Out of the few foods and drinks I've tried (as a totally new Novice Chef), Wastril Bread gives 70 xp per combine. I see in the forums that most chefs go with the "wastril bread grind".

Personally, I'm going to go with a "Charde grind". Wastril Bread requires 35 wheat/cereal (or whatever) per combine. Charde is 5 water / 5 something / 5 something else, and the resources are easier to get via the Bazaar. The exp is only 30 per combine, but I think I'll make up for the extra combines with the time saved getting resources.

I haven't tried harvesting resources yet, so I'm not sure what the harvest rate is like. Maybe my "earn money and shop at the Bazaar" effort is better/worse/equal to setting up a harvester to help with Wastril Bread.

Stewed gwouch in the entrees 1 line gives 100xp per, 30 organic and 20 water. I like the fact that it takes ANY organic.

I think that the way it works is this:

(# of raw resources) x 2

plus

1/2 (XP from any components in the food [ie. Carbosyrup])

which will equal your total XP gain. For example, Caramelized Pkneb uses 1xCarbosyrup, 20xMeat, 20xBones. (20+20) x2 + 6 [half of the original carbosyrup XP] = 86XP

Please keep in mind this testing was only done with Artisan level foods, so I'm not sure if the same thing works with Chef level foods. (Sorry, its a long way to get to Novice Chef for me).

Wow, you're totally right, Sual. Wastil bread takes 25 wheat and 10 fruit or something, that's 70 exp. Charde is 5 mineral,5 organic, and 5 water, that's 30 exp. I think I'll post this, and give you credit of course, just so everybody is aware.

Just wait till you get to Mixology 1. Sullustan gin 20R/45exp. Gralinyn Juice 35R+Sullustan Gin/100 exp. That equals a total of 55R for a grand totatl of 145 exp. So......Before Chef gets fixed expect this ratio to be neferd. Can't have a working Elite profession that people can advance in.

Wastil bread is the faster xp grinder regardless of the resources. Yes, you can use the other item but it's takes THREE items where Wastil bread only takes two AND it gives 2x+ the xp.

With being able to run 4 food crafting stations side by side, you're talking about 270ish xp PER minute. Better than Charde.

I just wish I could gather 30,000 resources and make one piece super bread that gives 60,000 XP. Man would that save a bunch of time.

Yes Hoggle, but a critical failure would be devestating!

I do what another has mentioned...4 crafting stations grinding ithorian mists.

They give 170exp each for 80 resources.
40 wheat, 20 corn, 20 water.

That's roughly 1360exp/minute of grinding...if you have the resources, and no critical failures. (assuming you can do 1 ithorian mist every 10 seconds)

I vote ithorian mist all the way. I've got too fed up of grinding it out though, I'm trying to(if these resources would **edit**ing stabilize) to set up 3 water harvs, 3 corn harvs and 6 wheat harvs on 66% or better spots. With this I'd have enough res to let the factories run 300 per day, giving lower level skill boxes daily.

Hoggle... imagine the galaxies longest Wastil Bread... 250m long! Using thousands of resources and giving thousands of XP....

/me wakes up. Oops, like we'll get things to gain more than a couple hundred XP every crafting session. But who am I to complain. At least I make things that people will actually RP with me about.

Grimm, that's assuming that you're extremely rich to buy all that wheat or have a lot of time to gather all that wheat. If money/time is no concern, then Wastril is the way to go. But for people like me and the second poster, who probably do few missions to get cheap, free money, the Charde grind is better.
