I sell 200-400k a day of regular food. But there isn't 2 foods that I would just make. That is spread over 10 foods of 20 that I stock.

If it sells in BE version then it will sell in regular. Just don't expect to get 75k+ a crate for it.

I can't seem to find the post, but I think SirVimes said soon after the revamp hit that this was intended. An xp bonus could get pretty unbalancing if it got too big, so the lack of an additive slot keeps this in check.

Although personally, I wonder how much difference it would make. Additives are a percentage boost, and with the nutrition stuck around 3 or 4% a BSN would only raise that to 5-7%. The number of rewards could be increased to around 30, or the filling reduced to around 45. Maybe it was the filling reduction the devswere worried about, that seems to have the biggest effect.

Ormacheck isn't really that useful, if, for example, you kill a mob and harvest it :

You get weapons XP for killing the mob + ormacheck bonus
You get combat xp + ormacheck bonus
You get scout xp + ormacheck bonus

That's 3 of the ormachecks bonuses used on one mob.

I have JUST had my first ever request for ormacheck since the revamp. For the small bonus, the filling makes its use prohibitive, as people prefer foods like Thakitilo, synthsteak etc.

Most of the stuff I sell in non-BE (I only BE Brandy and sometimes Accarragm). It all sells relatively well.

Actually, I am helping a guildi PL to master BE. I have 237 44 min Brandy (my 1st batch) and loaded it at 10k a case (25 bottles a case) just to experiment. I have been bombarded by hate mail for selling such <paraphrase> substandard stuff

Wow Lecivius, that's pretty harsh. The only reason I could imagine that someone would feel moved to criticize brandy with those stats is if it's labeled as "enhanced" or "BE Brandy", but even still, at that price it's stupid to complain. If that stuff doesn't move on your vendor, break up the crates and unload them on the bazaar. I guarantee they will sell. Not everyone needs the biggest possible buff. There are a lot of players whose professions would be made easier by that drink. Surveyors, image designers, casual combat players and docs can all use a mind boost, and many don't want to (or can't) spend the hundreds of thousands of credits it costs to get the supercharged BE stuff.

In answer to your original post, yes, there definately is a market for non enhanced foods. Again, I point to the bazaar. People who make the trip out to an advertised vendor generally want enhanced stuff. But those browsing the bazaar are often new and/or broke, or in a remote location and desperate for *anything* to fill their immediate need. (Back before the patch I used to sell my less than perfect fishak at a reduced price on adventure planet bazaars like the endor outposts and that bazaar up at the imperial prison on dathomir). My recommendations for what to make and sell in this way? Brandy, accarrgm, blue milk, synthsteak and almond kweevu crisp munchies.

Oh and about those people who sent you hate mail about your brandy... shake em off And when your BE buddy masters and they email you looking for your new improved awesome enhanced brandy, be conveniently out of stock
