I have domestic IV and am working up to novice Chef, and maxing out GCE. So I decided to have some fun.

I found some Reactive Gas with 980+ OQ, set up some harvestors on a 82% spot. Then I found out Starshine surprise takes *any* mineral, including Radioactives.
Well, this class 7 radioactive on Naboo has 960+ Potential Energy and 880+Oquality. Found a spot with 90% and put down a couple harvestors as well.

The experimentation on this was *very* nice. Customers were a little unnerved about drinking radioactives, but it was fun.

Funny thing i found about radioactives, and it negates the fun of putting them in your food.

The mineral that the starshine looks for doesn't care what the PE of the mineral is, or whether there is one or not. I had a 650 OQ, 850 PE radioactive in my starshines, and compared to a 980 OQ copper in starshines. The 980 OQ (and 0 PE) copper won out by a big margin in quality. I hope this might be a bug, just wondering if anyone else saw this happening. You can also use solid petrochemicals in the mineral slot.

On a side note, any drink that contains radioactive ore, reactive gas, and no water seems pretty dangerous!

My PA got a shock when I told them that most of my alchoholic drinks were made with radioactive alchohol stock

Supposedly a non-existent stat doesn't currently affect the quality, so if you were using a high quality reactive gas, that radioactive was bringing down the average PE. This appears to not be part of the game design(since the devs said in the crafter guide that a non-existant stat is always a 0), but generally works to our benefit, so why complain?

Besides, radioactives give those drink that certain glow.

hmmmmmmm.

Not complaining, just mildly looking at my stockpile of great PE radioactives in case of an "adjustment" in PE calculations. It is much easier to find a high OQ metal.
