Thread: Easing the grind a lot
The weaponsmiths have our problem of having to grind hundreds of items per level(more than us in fact), and one of them posted this(which applies to us as well):
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=weaponsmith&message.id=6642
This is well within the TOS, since it isn't unattended macro'ing, so there's nothing wrong with doing it, and reduces the amount of clicking needed to be done by a lot.
I can see why some people would consider this cheating....but I am not oe of those people. If you have to grind anyways (and I do feel like grinding is the only way to get anywhere with chefs, unfortunately) then this could make it a bit better.
Thanks for pointing this out. I have been wondering how to do this.
The best grinding macros that i have seen have been thoroughly discussed on SWGcraft.com, under the general crafting boards. They include a toolbar rotation scheme that I use to use 6 food tools to reduce wait times...i don't do the whole /createPrototype though, just enough to bring up the schematic. Set your mouse wheel to doubleclick and press enter a bunch of times on practice after loading resources. Without insane carpal tunnel it gives you about 4 grinds per minute.
Don't use ACtool some people suggest in the thread. This is 3rd party macroing, and is against the user agreement. Sony probably wouldn't do anything about it, but they could technically delete accounts over it.
Just my 2cr.
"Grindin' in the chef tree
Goin' on up, up
Grindin' in the chef tree
Oooh, 'bout to level up"
AC tool'ing is grounds for account deletion. This is fully within the TOS. So long as you're attending the macro its fine. And you still have to click the resources, so doing it unattended would be impossible.
Macro'ing was put in the game to save clicking or typing. No-one's said the dancer's macro'ing are breaking TOS. Those that do so while AFK are. There's nothing wrong with this use of macro's to save clicking.
Thank you so much! I never considered changing wheel button to double click. I did all of mix II, all of entrees I and all of Cooking I on sunday and my fingers hurt so bad by the time I was done. ![]()
I hope to finish Cooking II tonight, and this should help a lot.

Hmm i set my logitech trackballs middle button(scroll) to double click, and its not working ingame
Works out of game just fine. I don't have the button mapped to anything else ingame. Any ideas?
