Ok, so I'm on my way.

I'm working on the general crafting XP for Novice Chef.

I don't remember GCXP being so hard to get. So last night I say..I'm gonna grind. So I start making carbosyrup.

Grind for about an hour. I got 2k XP.....WHAAAA?!!?!? I think to myself. Yeah, I was only getting 21 GCXP!

That was WITH practice mode being on. Anyone know what I should be crafting to get through this quickly?

I've tried weapon powerups, but they have since nerfed that down to 20 GCXP as well. Soooooo what else is there that make points quickly?

Cheers

Soft shirts, or starshine surprise.

If I were you, I'd grind out some Starshine Surprises (non-practice) and get in touch with a chef, they'll probably buy them off of you. I know I will if you're on Bloodfin. At least that way you can make some profit and take care of your grinding at the same time.

-edit- Would be master chef that is. Apparently the devs don't really care about fixing the fact that our products are pretty well broken.

So I guess that should read..

Maefly,

Thanks your post. At the time of this writing, I have more credits than I know what to do with. Mind you, I'm not complaining, or anything LOL and I made it all LEGITLY, no exploits or duping etc. INCLUDING the BAZ. Never touched em myself.

Anyhoo. I want to just practice, so is how many resources does the starshine require? Versus the payout of XP per combine? I'm looking to grind to Novice Chef in a couple hours played. Preferably no more than 3 hrs. I need 17k XP.

Should I be doing these or shirts?

Cheers

I found the soft undershirts the fastest way, and wish someone turned me on to them before my last 3k of gcXP to get to novice chef.

The general formula is you get 2x resource amount for experience. Good grind items are Starshine Surprise and travel packs. Also, if you have some camp skills, I've found that multi-person camps give an amazing amount of experience for the effort and resources (I got to domestic IV in 3 harvestor runs with those).

A friend of mine and I are opening this cantina, and today we just got the vendor stocked with domestic items, over a 100 of them. He made about 15 air cakes, and I did the rest. While the experiance didn't exactly come my way, when they sell I'll make a tidy little profit and uxp.

Seriously go find a merchant and ask them if you can use their vendor in their house to sell food. Go around find a couple of them and stock them up with whatever.

travel packs travel packs travel packs

i even took the extra few steps to experiment with them and ended up with up to three slots on some of them, so i sold the good ones and practiced with the average ones. i still wish i could grind with those now that i made novice chef... the xp was great

Large axes. They give a lot of GCXP and only use wood and metal.
