This is the number one problem with the current Jedi system IMHO. As a casual player and a novice chef who's taken months just to get to bartending I, I'm actually insulted by a post like this. There are plenty of resxources availble for chefs to give you this kind of information, and personally I don't see the point in helping anyone who is declaring that they just want to use us as stepping stone to become a Jedi before us. (Come on, how many Master Chefs do you think are going to be able to actually get a holocron to determine what other random professions they need to master to become Jedi?)
I"m sorry if thes sounds a little rude but I'm rather bitter right now and I hope you don't take this too personally.

lol... Arjanna! hi! It's me Tiphini, lol
Boy, your post is super rude, but I couldnt agree more!
This holocron stuff is making a mockery out of every professian in the game. We have people mastering stuff left and right and then just dropping it. It makes every professian look useless and as if not any kind of achievement to gain master title.
But I'm not here to type about that. I'm just wondeirng if chef is anything useful. No one seems to ever buy or sell food. It's always spice. Which I find a shame. Spice is one simple line of smuggler, were food has a whole professian devoted to it. Why is food so useless?

Keep in mind we all get it. "Best way to get master so I can dump this?"
Well... maybe not Ch's. seems like almost everyone is a CH now, but plenty of professions are dealing with the same thing. It's also difficult for someone who is 100% combat based to sit down and create a billion items they won't get use out of (except at higher levels of the trade), because a tiny little box told them to do it, and if they don't they don't believe they'll get a jedi.
Bad move by the devs IMHO and I sympathize with you. But it's here to stay. Just don't respond if you don't like it, we can do our research.
Besides, people ask this question whether it's due to a holocron or not. Everyone wants to hit end game as fast as possible. Mistake, that, since there isn't a whole lot else to do other than farm stuff at end game for money, prestige or ... money.
Whoopdeedoo.
As for the question... At novice, either Charde is the best for grinding or I severely miscalculated. It ~30 exp per practice. Not sure about first teir, haven't gotten one yet. You want second teir Mixology I believe, stock up on wheat, fruit and water? Make Ithorian Mists. Lots and lots. Use Practice. Do not experiment. G'luck.
grrr...
I am copying and pasting from my OTHER THREAD ON THIS SAME **edit** TOPIC THAT APPEARS EVERY **edit**ING DAY.
Here this should help.

I mean seriously people, is it that hard to take some time out of your precious day to actually SEARCH the forums. I'm tired of all these posts cluttering **edit** up.
Jesus H. Christ, dont you guys even look at "The Big Bad Chef FAQ". Its right at the goddamn top of the page. How lazy are you?
Part of the difference is someone who persues chef because they want to be a chef, actually researches the professions. They read guides and comb the forums for information that can help them. Holocron chefs come to chefs and say, tell me exactly how many resources I need, what do I need to grind, which things should I make a bunch of schematics of while Im master to get my money back, how many harversters do I need to get that amount of resources and can you give me waypoints to those resources and who do I buy my harverstors from and can you tell me a crafting macro to use.
Im sorry but that is beyond insulting. I spent months becoming the chef that I am andthis person is asking me to depart every tiny thingI know about the profession tothem (IE taking 1hr+ of my time) but they cant be bothered to just read the board or a guide for 15 minutes. I would never in a million years ask people to depart their entire wealth of knowledge about a profession to me. If I need to know something, there are plenty of resources available to give me the information i need to know without belittling someone elses accomplishments. All it takes is 10-15 minutes of research and anyone can have all those answers. But instead we get bombarded over and over by the exact same questions over and over. Dont get me wrong, Im happy to help...to a certain point. But dont ask me to just log in your character and do it yourself. Your career advancement should be a burden to you, not to other people. All the information is available if you just take the time to do it yourself.
Honestly, it took me 5 minutes to find all the threads listed above.
I bet these are the same type of people, who walk into a store and immediately ask for help instead of searching for the aisles themselves.
Its sheer laziness, and it inconviences everyone else, and on these boards it makes them look like crap because every 3rd post is "I'm a holo chef", "Need Macros", "Help me Master Chef", "What do I need to grind", "I can't be bothered looking up anything so just give me all the answers"
Bah! we need to put a sticky at the top that says "Holocron Chef's read this and then go away!"
and then put all the links to the posts.
Doubt it would do any good, but it might deflect one or two of em.
If holo chefs continue to sell goods way below market value and damage the economy with sub-par stuff for incredibly cheap, why should we bother to help them at all?

I agree its time to boycott responding to any of these threads, if they want answers they can go find them their **edit** selves.
Im having a hardtime understand why alot of the "Holochefs" feel that they need to constantly post... "Hey im a holochef..." well congrats.... now will the worthy postings please resume. Now understanding the fact, i'm also a holochef, but im actually researching all the past posts and conversing with other chefs to get a good understanding of the profession, and not going to just grind may way through it because i want to be jedi.
Basically im just stating, get something out of this change in your character, findout the general price listings of items you will be crafting, dont disturb the economy just so you can make a buck. IMHO alot of the holochefs (not including myself) dont have an understanding of how frustrated 99% of the Chef community is and has been because of the problems with the profession. Then they get all these "holochefs" that seem to really not give acrap about the profession and just want the easy way in and out and far away from it.
SO! Stop posting these needless threads and start searching, reading and more searching.... Im sure most are tired of seeing them and having to explain the samething over and over and over again.
Thats my quick 2 cents.
