What stats in resources should I look for in metals, gemstones, gas, etc? Do we just work w/ OQ? Or should I be looking for somthing else also?

Overall Quality.

The reason being that we just look at Overall Quality is that metals and gemstones don't have flavor and nutrional values. So, since our food just looks at flavor, nutrition, and overall quality in determining how good our buffs are, the other values of metals are sort of nulled out, so to speak. Just check your schematic to find out what is important in your recipes. It could mean a lot in how good your buff is.

Oh, I also discovered that unit toughness is 100% of the filling value too, so if you have any recipie that has metal in it, go for a high UT, as youll get a larger bar to experiment with in your final product.

Would Decay Resistance be the experimentation bars in the ones that just require food... I've yet to find anything that Decay Resistance goes too....

You know, I reallyhave yet to see a good FAQ on crafting and what each element means... the official one is okay, but when it comes down to it, it's just too general. I want a glossary of what every variable controls in the crafting profession and such.

You can get some gas, chemicals and metals to have OQ and PE sometimes. The thing about that with metals it's certain classes of radio active that have OQ/PE. With gases and chemicals it has to do with "Known/Unknown" Types that will sometimes have PE/OQ as well.

I don't know if those are bugs, but when I see them I stockpile.
