Thread: What will happen to old foods?

Suppose we have our vendors well stocked with current foods.

What will happen when the 'new recipes' come out? Will the current stock 'change' into new stock? OR, will the current stock become 'useless'?

If items become useless, how much lead time will we have so we can 'minimize' our losses?

Will the 'new recipes' replace the old, so current stock acts as it does today, and new stock has the improvements? That could be bad, if new is greatly improved.

Could we get a 'food replacement' to trade in old for new, as we recently got for non-ch pets?

Could we get a 'salvage' command, to unassemble foods?

Just a few questions I came up with.

Knowing the devs, I doubt the changes will be retroactive.

When Probots got nerfed, old ones remained at pre-nerf status. When FWG5's got nerfed, old ones remained the same.

Going on that history, it's time to stockpile certain items

Yeah thats what i was thinking. You might want to stockpile certain drinks that are a little better then they should be. And then we can sell brawlers crates at 1 million each in 6 months.

I don't think that anything thatbuffs will become useless. Some things may become less desirable...and if thats a problem...just have a fire sale.

We really don't know how things are going to work out. While there's a lot of doomsaying based on the past, the fact is that the devs want things to work better, have different elements of the gamebe more enticing, and make players happier. So I sincerely doubt that they will do anything to screw us up...at least not much at first. Therefore, its a reasonablebelief that our currentproducts will still sell well into the future...however we, as merchants, will need to keep the transition in mind when producing quantities that exceed our sales, if that is possible...

Given the nature of TC, there will be a lot of testing done.We will know pretty well the state of future food, and how it compares to old food. You will probably have a few days of disruptions when adjusting, but I imagine that it won't be hard to plan a little.
