Hello I used my holocron on my char and it said CHEF. I have no resource to do this with, no guild to help me out, nothing. So if you have any stuff i could used that would be great.

Not on your server, but if you are in need of cash...I'd suggest running artisan missions. They are a decent source of cash...even better if you have a fairly high combat skill (pistol, carbine, unarmed, etc). If you run them traditionally (ie run them) you can potentially make 20-30k an hour to raise funds...certainly enough to get started. With good weaon skills, you can get twice that amount. I ran 1-3 hours of artisan missions per day while grinding through chef...

20-30k an hour? /gasp if i was making just 20-30k i'd be pissed off at this game. i make more than that running harvesters and that doesn't use any combat skills. cheapest resources are 3cpu and the good ones sell for 10cpu easily if not more if you wait for them to shift. that is a million credits a day easily and all you gotta do is run to them every once in awhile.

Downside of mining is you still have to spend time selling the stuff, have a vendor, or use the bazaar...if you could build a customer list, after a while it becomes very valuable if you can keep up with demand.

When I needed cash...I usuallyneeded it right then and there to buy stuff off the bazaar...I was also speaking conservatively on what could be made...when the terminals first showed up I ran the 512m missions getting 900 credits/mission.

After the distance change on artisan missions, I came across a way (as several people posted on these boards months ago) to increase cashflow from them. With novice TK (which raised the limit to 1800/,mission), I was able to bring in 70k/hour (1.68 million per 24 hour cycle -- no selling needed and really no effort...just boring as hell)...I stopped though...only so long you can do one mindnumbing thing.

I would probably mine and sell today if chef wasn't making cash...as it is I can barely keep up with my own demand...
