Popular Combat Skill Foods

Ruby Bleil

How it works: Similar to the burst run food, you use your stim, take your ruby bleil and you can take another stim again. This is currently not working as intended, as the drink is supposed to reduce your stim heal time by 30% for the given time period, instead it is letting you heal instantaneously for one or two stims.

Crispic/Deut Pyro/Corellian Ale

Crispic – Around 70 melee/40 ranged for a 15min duration. Experimentation on Ranged Accuracy is currently broken, keeping it at a constant 40.

Deut Pyro/Corellian Ale - over 200 melee/ranged accuracy for only 50 seconds.

Vegeparsine/Thundercloud

How it works: Lower level characters especially will see a bonus from this. Acting like your CL does to modify your defenses and such, think of these foods as improving your level by a given amount. It is more noticeable at the lower levels, level 80's will not see as great a bonus, however I have been told that it does still make a difference in PvP, giving you a bit of an edge over the other level 80. If you aren’t receiving the bonus, be sure to unequip then equip any weapons you are holding.

Parwan Nutricake

Your burst run food, great to have handy as a backup, use as a constant burst run.

Air Cake/Pikatta Pie

How it works: Although the dodge modifier is no longer in the game, the food adds to your defenses and should still increase the amount of times the enemy misses you, or decrease the amount of damage that you take, much like damage mitigation.

Steak and Exo-Wafers

How it works: Provides a mitigation bonus for a certain amount of time. This amount is regarded as broken, pending further information from the devs. It used to be number of attacks, however that number has converted with the CU to a seconds value. Still handy for the quick situations.

Vayerbok

How it works: Provides a block feature, allowing you a greater chance to block other's attacks, not taking damage. This can be related to the saber block that jedi's have. Low filling and a solid duration means you can have this bonus in your stomach without suffering. Anyone can use this drink, not limited to Jedi, however it does stack with the Jedi block.

T’ssolok

How it works: Take it when getting a doctor buff, and it will increase the timer by 20% for your buff. Only works for one buff.

Bugged Food

Ruby Bleil

This food is supposed to either take away 30 seconds from the stim roundtime, or reduce the time by 30%

Corellian Ale / Deut Pyro /Synthsteak / Exo Protein Wafers / Flameout / Ormachek

These foods and drinks should be on a number of attacks basis instead of having the short timers that they do.

Smuggler’s Delight

Instead of decreasing the spice down time, this food now increases the down time to 50 minutes

Thanks to I_Zombi for suggesting a stacking technique for me to build on and use.

Very nice post Eerif, but the stacking rules you have but down there aren't entirely correct. Alas i can't correct you, but for now i'd snip that part and leave the food guide in. There is some more infomation coming.

I'm not putting you down mate, i'd just like for there to be as little mis understanding about this when it comes out.

I applaud your efforts i really do, and the food guide is excellent, just the stacking explanation isn't correct. I'm just making things clear.

Understandable, and I'm not blaming you for anything. Doing a bang-up job, but these devs need to get their butts in gear!

Btw the guide what foods stacks was fine. Aslong as they're confirmed as working. The explanation of why they can stack is the part i was talking about.

that thingy i wrote with the funky christmas colors and different food groups was pretty much just compiled from me trying out almost all those combos to see if they'd work. i really couldn't figure out what specific rules the different combos followed so i just aimed to explain as simply as possible every single possible combo, not including the artisan crap

as far as i know it holds true now too but i'm really not big on trying out the 12 or so combos that were possible before publish 20. my personal recommendation for a ham buff in pvp is either blob candy + spiced tea or high duration (15min+) accarragm. those are the two i use depending on the situation and i really can't tell a difference between the 180-200 regen and the 250 regen that's possible with combos like brandy + canape, accarragm + won-won and garmorrl + kiwik swirl. but that's just my opinion... i find things like synthsteak, wafers, ruby bliel and corellian ale to be more useful in a fight than a little extra regen.

/rant on

why the hell does SOE keep feeling the need to hype up these things? didn't they learn from all the hype surrounding the cu that it just creates expectations from us that they'll never be able to meet? right now, i don't think it'd be possible for them to satisfy me regardless of what they tell us; and it just gets worse as time drags on.
