Now i know its pretty much essential to having them my question is what are the good stats on light/medium/heavy additives. I was told to get some 1000 OQ wood which i have some of, and i have some Tubers with PE & OQ 900+ and FL 800+ but crap DR.

What do i specifically neeed to craft the food additives like what resources and stat wise.....

if anyone can heklp me out i'd appreciate it.

To create food additives requires only water (quality doesn't matter) and a food bio component (aka a "tissue").

To create a Nutrition bonus tissue (the most commonly used) requires skills in Bioengineer, meat, flora food (those tubers will work well), and organic (high OQ wood works well since it's easier to get than high OQ/FL/PE flora). The quantity numbers are different for each tissue size, but there's a tissue reference chart at the bottom of the "Food chart 1" linked in the "Read this" sticky.

Tissues depend on 50% OQ, 30% PE, and 20% FL. Max Nutrition bonuses are 60 (for micronutrients), 90 (for broad spectrum nutrients), and 120 (for intelligent nanonutrients). It's going to be nearly impossible to find any at "max", but most BEs can make tissues in the 55/85/115 to 58/88/118 range.

To get the tissues, you can either take up Bioengineer yourself (0404 is enough for all 10 experimentation points and all the food tissues except the heavy nutrition and heavy filling ones), buy the tissues from a BE, or provide resources to a BE and purchase a schematic made from them. The BE schematics run through a food/chem factory, so you're already set on that.

OQ is 50% of the equation, therefore most important, then PE at 30% and FL at 20%. They are all important, so find good meat!

No, save them for ingredients. Get good at using the galactic vendor search function of bazaar's, I found some of the most amazing resources at silly prices, 2-10cpu for one of the most incredible Oats ever spawned and so on.

I don't think its worth using the 30k Resource kit because you can find meat on a planet that's good enough usually.

If your server has a resource website, go to that to see all the updated spawned organic resources.

If not, your work is a lot harder because then you have to update planets by yourself. If this is the case, its good to find a couple guildies to help you kill animals to find out what the hide, meat, and bone stats are.

Harvesting creatures got a big boost post-cu because the missions adjust to the groups level and thus, the yield of meat, bone, and hide per animal skinned.

I hope I helped you out some, Chef isn't the easiest profession since most players don't have scout and thus, its hard to come by good meat.
