I posted this in the artisan forum. I'd like some opinions as to how the wiegthings of this formulae should be. I'm trying to come up with a SANE and standard formulae for pricing.

Thanks

Ooo, math!

For chefs, your OQ weighting on the meat is a little high compared to PE. If you consider all 4 food experimentation categories, OQ is usually has a little more contribution than PE, but not much. And since you'd also be marketing to professions other than chef, it would basically be your call on whether to adjust those. Andnot necessarily just OQ down, maybe OQ down a bit and PE up a bit, its the ratio thats off a bit from our point of view.

Hmm, so a 900 OQ, 900 PE, 750 Fla, 500 DR meat would be...16 cpu. Sounds good to me.

And what are your thoughts on Milk pricing? You could probably keep the same weightings as meat (maybe adjusted more closely to chef/BE experimentation since other classes don't use that resource), but if you've found that milk is a bit easier to get, maybe drop the "Limit" to 15 instead of 20.

To date, I have not gotten into the milk business, although I have tried it. It seems more difficult to get large stacks and has the labor/yield ratio of fishing and getting eggs. I have gotten Eggs recently as well and has qudrupled output, going from 2 eggs per lair to 8... not very promising.

You know, the whole set up on this end of things really needs to be looked into again. Where are the Bantha herders? They are in the books... let them do the milking .

I have limited time and there is the "fun factor" in hunting big game so my business is probably going to be Meat/Hide/Bone for the farseeable future. If someone wants to try that more power to them but I can't spend the time on less profitable things. I do NOT want to charge 200 cr per unit to compensate. I can't force my team of Rangers to "unfun things" all the time. Perhaps from time to time for folks in dire need but not every day. I can only take fishing one day a week as it is.
