It works, but you have to use a pistol or one handed weapon (fencer) weapon. I know it does because a pistoleer I sell it to cannot get enough of it. I am not sure if you have to "activate" it though by being a pistoleer or fencer.

This is not broken
Dodge is a skill that Jedis don't have so taking skill-boosting food does not help them

Similar situation....
Ive tested Thakitillo personally with my chef, who has no innate knockdown defense. It definately worked.
Went from knockdown everytime, to knockdown every 1 out of 4 attempts.

it works, i am pretty sure, i use it with my pistoleer and it seems i dodge more often... maybe i am just lucky again?

I tested this with my chef and it worked just fine. She has no dodge points of her own.
Perhaps as someone stated earlier you have to have a pistol or 1 hand weapon equiped, as she carries a pistol.
