I'm a Master Artisan right now, so experimenting on these foods goes just fine. I was wondering how things go if you just have the dom arts tree only....

Is the engineering tree worth it just for 4 more exp points?

Might as well go ahead and get them so 1/3 of the food you will make will have the full 10 points instead of 6. Knowing everytime you make a Artisan food you will cuss not having the other 4 points.

I am human so I get +15 which is an extra point

I hope eventually to get +25 worth of tape so 14 experimentation points total

I think there is enough in the Domestic Arts tree to make it worth developing if you are in it to supply a variety of foods.Jawa Beer, Caf and Aitha seem quite important products to me, not everyone can afford Brandy

I don't doubt though that if you want to free up 14 skill points you certainly could and still keep yourself flat out busy

Cashwise Chef + Advertising 3 would beat Chef + Engineering 4 I think

does it work that way? I thought it was 2 points period, regardless of what species/tape increase got you there?

and yes, definately go master artisan if you have the sp. The 4 points is worth it, maybe not so much that component experimentation is out, but you can make swoops

It should work that way if the human bonus isn't counted like skill tapes or BE cloths.

There is no 2 exp point cap. The cap is +25 from tapes or BE cloths. It just happens that that makes a +2 exp point cap. I had never thought about 14 artisan exp points but I would assume it is possible.
