Thread: yay! Finally some Chef loving on the way...
From Thunderheart
we're going to be looking at the chefs, food buffs, sppice buffs and things like that very closely next week. I actually have some very exciting news on that, but I can't say yet...
Looks like we may finally get somewhere, let us pray...
Big cheer for SirVimes for the work he's been doing aswell.
Don't hold your breath on that.. SOE devs said they were doing a balance pass on the chef profession over 3 months ago and NOTHING has been said about it since.. What do they call "exciting" changes or stuff.. Are we talking about increasing some buffs from 200pt increase that last for 6 minutes, to a 210pt buff that last for 7 minutes.. OH WHOOPIE.. I guess something like that would be the perfect balance.. lmao
Until I hear that SOE plans to eliminate ALL negative side effects to stat food such as the "too full" to eat timer when the buff wore off long ago,, or a good portion of the subtraction that some buffs have.. I personally would like to also see that most of the UXP should be shifted back to crafting exp.. What is the current split on exp now.. 66/33 ?? whereas 33% experience comes for user exp.. I think that should be changed to a 80/20 split myself

I completely agree. I hope they keep us up to date on their plans for improvement and actually ask us if we think itsa good idea, there is so much they have to do they are bound to mess something up, but lets hope not.
I don't need XP anymore, but if they just made UXP work properly, that would be fine with me. None of this, have to be in a certain radius crap.

If TH actually comes out and dares to say that there wasn't any good info coming out of the chef thread (mainly due to his not having read it until we all got soooo pissed off that we simply couldn't bring ourselves to post more ideas just so that they could go ignored), I don't think even SirVimes would be willing to defend him then...
Its a lot of stuff to place on one guy, but thats what SOE has done to TH, and like it or not he's going to have to take the heat for the enourmous hole SOE has dug for itself through bad CS policies, really bad PR, and an absolutely horrid TC....which is finally after many years of beta, and 4 months of live, showing some signs of being what it should have been in the first place.

I am not saying much (I really don't know much) but it looks like things are going to be happening soon(tm).
Hey, welcome back, SirVimes! Feeling better? And thanks for the good news.

I agree with ya man, actions speak louder than words.
