Thread: A quandry..Best combo to sell as armorlube?
Hehe armorlube, i think ill put those in the titles when i make em.
Anyhoo.
There is a master armorsmith near my cafe that wants me to supply him with bulk food and drink that will allow him to buff his clients so that they can slip into their armor before they leave the shop.
Now as not much of a combat type I dont really have any first hand experience with it, i just make the food
But he said he needed all the secondaries buffed, and i need to supply him with as few items as possible (barely have enough time to keep my own vendor stocked) So i was thinking..
Breath of Heaven (drink) str/quick/focus and Veghash con/sta/will. That covers all the bases.
Now does anyone else have any suggestions on another combo that can cover the bases that i havnt thought of? I know Ryshcate can cover str/quick/focus and i alot cheaper but i couldnt find anything to cover the con/sta/will that was a complementing drink.
Whats your experiences with supplying foods for these stats?
Thanks for the replys all, (yeah i know BOH is a pain to make hehe thus my quandry)
Now another question, what are the differences between Veghash and Vegerparsine? i was told by quite a few people that you couldnt get much better buffs off of Vegerparsine than Veghash so that i shouldnt bother. What are your typical buffs for Veg and Veger? I just ran a batch of +159 or so veghash, what kind of buffs could i expect with Vegerparsine?
Depends on resources and how good the veghash is... ![]()
My average lowtends to be about +200...my high so far has been around +240...I typically end up with +225-230, but I don't make a lot of it...usually just enough for guildies with a little landing on the vendor to start it's weeklong vigil.
(thanks in advance from an obviously novice chef)
armor has encumbrances to each piece that takes from your secondary stats.
Lets say you have 400 willpower and the armor that you want to wear totals to an encumbrance of -530 willpower for all the pieces. Well you can put on the armor until you reach the limit of your 400 willpower, now if you eat some +200 willpower food you can put the rest of your armor on. Once its on, its on even when the buff wears off.
So people use food and drink to "Lube" their armor so they can put it on.

Can I ask you Masters a question about armor? Now why is it that people need to get buffed when putting on armor...better question, what do you mean by "armourlube"? I know some armor has negative effects on the person wearing it, but I didn't think it was that bad. Can you elaborate just a little on "armorlube"ing so that I can apply this useful information on Corbantis?

Well, I'm not a master, but armors not really that complicated. Basically, every piece of armor has an encumberance value that reduces the wearer's secondary stats in all three categories. Since a full suit of armor has a lot of pieces, this can lead to some pretty steep Con/Str, Quick/Stam, Foc/Will requirements. Each piece reduces all of your secondary stats, and if putting on a piece would put a stat less than zero, you get a message like "you are not healthy enough to wear that armor".
This is where chefs come in. If you're buffed above the armor requirements, you can put all the armor pieces on. Once the buff wears off, I believe they don't fall under1. So armor customers can buy "armorlube" (love that description, by the way) to increase their stats enough to put the armor on.
