Couldn't be more thrilled in fact! My intial idea for my character was to have chef as part of his skill set but i got enamored with smuggler. This has finally convinced me to drop scout and medic for good. Entertainer will be harder to part with as I do love my music but I am looking forward to moving into this profession and staying there for a while!

I started work on chef the other day, and OMG I have never used a holo.
I picked up some sunburns couple weeks ago, and was like omg these are great.
And since I was remastering Bio-engineer thought I would give chef a try, since the bio has stuff to work with foods.

hehe i got 9 holos out of this free holo deal, in 1 month all of them should be worth 10 million making me one step closer to being a billionaire!!! gotta love SOE.

My Holo also said Chef, and even tho this is not the profession I would have picked myself at the moment, I'm a bit surprised that more people don't see this as a chance to experiance something new. Have a quick sweep over the boards and you'll see that whatever the holo said people are pissed off about it. I can bet my head that if a holo said "Master Jedi" most people would go "Oh,pooo!!!!"

The good thing about Holos as I see it is, people get a chance to see what other professions are like, and what they can do, and what they have in store. Chef is one of those profession I think most people don't really know much about. Maybe cuz We don't see many chefs spamming spaceports and so on.

A lot of people will have to master Chef now, and I'm sure about 95% of them will drop it when done. This means alot of people know alot more about the profession and the benefits of food and drink, and they will come back for more, leaving the "true" chefs with alot more costumers than before. And with you guys getting more svhematic and so on I'm sure won't hurt either. And the same goes for all professions.

I can't help feeling a bit sorry for all the power-macro-grinders out there. You guys are missing out on a lot of stuff. Sure, I didn't enjoy the surveying downtime, but I didn't use a macro once to fill it. There are a limited amount of things to do in this game, and I would like to play it for as long as possible without getting bored or running out of things to do. I don't think everuthing wil be heaven once I unlock the slot, and I'm in no hurry to do it. I just opened the holo cuz I was bummed out cuz the fish kept taking by bait.

And I got Chef.
I do not intend to just grind through it(don't have the money to anyway), I'd rather try it out, and suck on it for a while. Who knows, maybe I'll even stick with it.

Opened my holo and it read Master Chef. Can't really say I was too upset, seeing as I was already at 2-0-2-3 Chef because I WANTED to go chef

My holo said Master Chef....I wasn't bothered at all by it - just the grind to get to Novice!

I was even considering dropping BH and picking up Chef before the holo!

I succumbed to temptation and opened my holo. Got chef. Was planning to drop it as soon as I finished, but have finished 3 boxes and am really, REALLY looking forward to making some good foods. Picking up my experimentation points atm so I can play with the new recipes as I get them.

So, I'll be hanging on to this profession for a while. I totally agree with a previous poster-this has been a fantastic incentive to try something new, and I'm really enjoy the experience so far.
