I hit master a few days ago and got all my nice new schematics. I cranked out a whole bunch of fishak thinking people would be ramming down my door to get their hands on them. Haven't sold one yet :-)

Stats are +550 for 750 secs. What should I price these at? Besides getting to Advertising III and registering on the map, any other tricks to get some traffic to the store?

I was thinking of joining the most popular player city and parking a vendor next to the master armorsmith and weaponsmith to try and get some impulse buys. :-)

you cant place vendors in cities (other than buildings you have permission on in a player city)

Pricing is a difficult one, and depends on what other chef's charge, and what you personally think is a good price.

Personally, I'm using 10cpu as a base for all my prices. On Chimaera, resources sell at 3-5cpu, so I wont sell for less than 5cpu profit myself. Other people charge per use, and for master items 500+ per use as thats generally the same price as spices.
Other people use a complex formula based on buff size, duration and stack size - I try to keep it simple

There's no magical figure, if you aren't selling much, ask people why they dont buy - maybe lower prices a touch. If you start selling so much you cant keep up with demand, increase the price a little

Hey congrats, you are a small minority of non Holochefs, even more rare now with the hologiveaway.

As far as selling fishak goes, just walk around with your master chef title up and make your character searchable and the orders will come.

I have seen fishak sell from 40K a crate to 75ka crate. You will ultimately have to decide what to price them at.

I stood in Coronet (Chilastra) the other night for 30 mins and received about 5 orders for Fishak, got a masive back-log of orders at the moment, the bummer is finding good resources.

Personally i charge 40k a crate for it, obviously varies depending on the quality, but that's a good base

I sell my fishak at about 60k/crate now, for +600mind/800secs. Sells like hotcakes.

Seriously, congratulations!

One thing you will find that is absolutely necessary for getting a decentclient base is education. Split your Fishak crates up insto stacks of 3 or 5or pop out stacks and give them away as samples, with a stack of Bivoli or GGP to go with. Explain to them how to use it, when to eat it, and how the fullness bars work...and let them test it out. I guarantee you will get a /tell a couple hours later that says something to the effect of " OMG this stuff ROCKS! How can I get more?".

Make no mistake, Chef is work. But I've said it before, we are a consumables profession...regular customers are our lifeblood.

Though, I do not really sell to anyone outside my guild anymore out of partial frustration and partial laziness, I know the above method works great.

Congratulations on Master Chef. Here are some tips for selling things.

First, get a merchant in a high-traffic area and keep it there. The best thing is to put it near other popular vendors. Chef merchants are like the candy display at the checkout counter - impulse buys. Many cities are looking for a food and drink vendor. Check them out on your server boards. Get that merchant registered on the planetary vendor as soon as possible.

Second, keep goods on yourself in populated cities, wear your Master Chef label and offer things for sale. Fishak and Tat Sunburns sell great. For each person that buys, email them the waypoint to your vendor and thank them for your business. But don't spam them--one email is plenty.

Third, offer singles, partial crates and full crates on your vendor. This gets people hooked.

Finally, sell forlow prices, then increase them slowly as business builds, but never overcharge. I use 15-20 credits per unit of raw material as a guideline as long as you are using high-quality materials.

I sold Fishak's with lesser stats than that for 60k per crate. You can sell those for 70k or more. Just put them on the vendor. Trust me, one day they will all disappear. Mine sat for 1 week, then in 1 day they were all purchased.
