Would a master chef get higher experimentation results if they were also a master artisan?

Only for items in Domestic Arts. Once you get to novice chef. You are back to no points.

Someone with EngIV and DomArtsIV gets 10-11 exp points (depending on race). These only apply to general artisan things, and adding master artisan will not help any of these at all. Your artisan level doesn't affect your food exp. points at all.

Well it certainly helps to have eng 4 when you go to make runs of Carbosyrups and Dough.

Does the experimentation on carbosyrup matter?

My husband is a chef with only the domestics line in Artisan. If I used my master artisan skills to make the schematic (annoying to keep him supplied with the **edit** things ) would it really make a difference? The carbosyrups don't seem to have any stats on them at all that change with experimentation... is it some kind of hidden stat maybe?

You'll have to believe me, but it does make a difference. Try two runs, one with no experimentation, one with, and use identical components/resources, and you'll see the difference too.

Yep, the stats are hidden. They used to be displayed, sometime in the first month or so after release. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a hallucination. Experimenting the Carbosyrup won't make a huge difference (about +15 to the buff, about +10s to the duration), but there is a difference.

Aye, artisan is definitely important, especially for good starshine surprises for good sunburns.
