Anyone else out there having an unreal time trying to find or even buy meat?
It seems that all the HQ meat is on 'low' drop mobs, so that it would take forever to get a high quantity.
And forget about buying meat in any large amounts.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions or new meat locations? And yes I've been to swgcreatures and swgcraft.

- Rancors on Dathomir are your best friend for Carnivore meat.
- Magwax's on Yavin for Domesticated.
- Bolle Bol's on Naboo for Herb meat.
- Reptillian Fliers on Dath for Avian, or Choku's and Whisper Birds on Yavin.
- Angler's on Yavin or Meeriks on Endor for insect meat.
Not so sure about wild meat.
Hope that helps a bit. Those are usually whatI hunt with my alt if I want to get larger stacks. =)

On Chil I am getting hella good meat off of the Rancors.
My only problem is I have to run around Overt so I can group with my ATST to get the missions.

If you are looking for just meat and want to read a good book, I suggest getting a shellfish harvesting tool and using that. Macro it to use every 5 seconds and take some junk brandy/Accarragm. You should average 20 meat a min. Remeber to have your main inventory as close to empty as you can manage (it doesn't stack on harvesting) and just drag and drop into your backpack window every few min. On Bloodfin the Rori Mullusk is something like 500+OQ, 850+PE, 900+Flv right now and I have gotten 10k of it this way while watching anime, cooking, cleaning house, reading. Not the fastest way, but it requires NO SKILLS at all. And it is really cheap. Can probably find a tool for 1k.

nice suggestion I may do that. becoming merchant has made me a lazy hunter. have not lvl'd rifle in many moons. that sounds like my style (macro man) and go read a book ....woot yeah baby. Maybe some more of the starwars episodes to get me back in the mood. This chef thing has kinda burnt me out. Gonna take a break I think.

For wild meat I would say huurtons or quenkers on Dantooine. The missions pop up alot andI can usually get about 50 off of each(novice scout).

I'm a master chef/tkm... i get buffed, go to dath, and kill enraged rancors for about 350 units per....... i can score maybe 20k of meat in an hour and a half.... i think its the best way to do it.

Spend a little cash up front and make something other chefs arent selling. +97 Def Vs. knockdown food using heavy additives or Canape using Heavy Flavor additive(needs milk). Then offer a crate of this cool food in exchange for meat on your server trade forum. Squeak 10 crates of either of these out and trade them for 10k to 20k of meat per crate. You'll end up with 100k to 200k meat pretty fast and then you'll be able to do ALOT more BE additive runs. This also starts a clientel of meat producing fiends who do nothing but collect meat for you to exchange for food/drinks. I did this and I have more meat coming in then going out.. over 2 million meat and still growing.. its kinda sick. I've sent numerous msgs out to those scraping up meat to please stop. I've kept a few of the uber harvesting maniacs on my "to get meat list" that collect 50k to 100k of meat a week though... just in case I start to run low.
There's probably a few other ways of getting meat without paying for it with credits. Most people aren't motivated by 10 to 20cpu. Offering up non-standard food types is a great way to motivate customers. I think the canape focus/willpower food that lasts for 30 minutes using the heavy flavor additive is a good trade... especially since BE's love this food in conjunction with VB. Anyways.. just something that worked for me.

thats a great idea and i tried something with ore.
however on the food side, its alot of cash to outlay and i'm close to pinched.
i was hoping that in publish 6 we would have been given the option of cows as pets so that we can milk them directly.

On kettemoor the carn meat on endor the meat isnt all that bad i am able to make 85 power BE additives with it, i am also lucky to have some very good tubers from a few months back.Last night i spent 2-3 hours on on endor and got about 15.5k of meat.

Where do you find such a crafting tool? (surverying tool) that is.
