It looks like some very nice changes are being pushed onto the Test Center today. Of particular note for Swordsmen:


- Added the reinforcement core as a required component to gaderiffi baton, stun baton, two-handed axe, and power hammer. The addition of the component will enable the armorsmith [sic]to impart component bonuses on these items (making them more in line with other weapons).


- Decreased two handed melee move costs


- Increased movement accuracy penalties/defensive bonuses

lets not forget the timer to posture change moves.....so that would leave us with headhits, 2hhandhits, and our mind hits, no more spamming area attacks to kill 11 ppl at a time I wonder if that means we can't use the special or the posture change just won't take effect. Any thoughts?

Waitttttttt a minute.. I thought only KD specials will have the timer, but it's ANY posture change specials also? So that means we have 4 freaking specials that have timers? Lets see, sweep1&2 and area attack 2&3. **edit**? What the hell am I going to use for aoe damage? Spin attack2s? Jesus christ.!

You can still spam area attacks, you just can't keep them all prone.

I'm not really understanding why the core is being added to the 2H Axe. The 2H Axe isn't a great weapon, but it's fine until you get the Curved. I guess this will make it better...but where we're really hurting is the Vibro Axe which is still gimped even after the recent patches.

Looks like the Power Hammer is getting increased. I guess I won't complain, even though it had uses before. That said, it's very frustrating to have to keep buying new weapons every 2 weeks due to changes that are not retroactively applied to already existing weapons.

Yea I feel bad because I just spent tons of credits the other day buying a batch of 20 PHs and got bad slices out of them, and NOW they're buffing it. **edit** it man, if only I can see the future.

...just to complete the list:


- Slightly reduced the HAM costs on the gaderiffi baton, stun baton, two-handed axe, and power hammer to compensate for the extra HAM cost given by using the reinforcement core.

and swordhas a prereq for expert twohand... PH = swordsman.. it should be better.


i'm just glad they boost the hammer instead of nerfing the sword =)... cna't wait for the result.. hope its not a measly 10 HAM lower.. or 5 damage higher (10 ham loower = 96 health cost? lol)

Actually guys... we still come on top with this change. The nerf to the Post and KD's is actually a good thing. All we need to do is use the 2handhit3 to dizzy and then do an posture attack and we are back in business. I find this as a good update. In Fact... I hope they will actually extend the time limit. I'm tired of getting Pistol whipped by gunners who whore it to death. Next they just need to work on some of the mods to our profession...For Example, as I see it we have the best defense against dizzy. So we should not be dizzied but once every blue moon. All in all ... I would say this is a good thing. Just give us a KD and fix the not being able to attack while running and I'll be happy for now. Oh... and we can't forget the blank spot in the Expert Finesse.

Swords already have the option of being built with an advanced component.

Yes if defenses actually worked properly. Right now if i get dizzied by a TK I might as well give up.
