How many of you would honestly quest for Chef Schematics? Especially for some of the ones that were taken away (Chef Epic Quest = Angerian Fishak Surprise). This is something that I personally would LOVE to see implemented in SWG. Make us work even more to be the best

Itd be cool, but I dont know how well they would implement it. Going 1000m to get something, then bring it back only to do the same is waaay to boring. It needs to be good.

There are quests currently on TC for things like Stim A+, Crafting Aprons, Scythes, Special Exotic Leotard.

I would assume there are chef quests as well, but I haven't heard of any, yet.

As a chef with absolutely NO skill in combat...

I would absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE to go searching for a super awesome schematic, only available from the remote Ewok tribe, or the lonely mountain monks, or the dangerous blood wine of a hostile cult. It'd give me a reason to gather my combat oriented PA buddies and head out for a reason! 'Course...I know how it'd turn out.

"Ok. Which way, Obos? You're the one with the waypoint."

"Um...hey...where IS Obos anyway?"

"Hmm..he was right there a minute ago. Right before that last tusken raider attack...uh oh."

yes well even if you have no combat skills, as long as you have a PA, or a loyal customer base...you won't need to quest for them....except for RIS armor, all schematic rewards have been limited tradeable schematics that anyone can get. Its more or less going to come down to which one of your customers will show up with it asking you to make it first.

even if you have to be a master chef to start the quest, and it turns out like RIS armor...well its not like the "uber l33t" PvP crowd wouldn't be begging to help you complete it so that they could buy some and gain an edge over the others. all you'd likely have to do is garauntee a crate or so to each person who helped you (actual amount would depend upon required materials if its not a limited schematic). look at the RIS quest...how many armorsmiths actual went out and killed their own giant dune kimos, or peko albatrosses? let the PvP guys who specialize in killing stuff...kill the stuff. if they want it bad enough (if its good they will), they'll bring you everything you need.

That's LUDICROUS! What joy would I have in creating a quest item schematic if I hadn't actually GONE ON THE QUEST!? I'll be there right beside them, wishing I had remembered to drink my Starshine Surprise so that my incap timer was going down faster. Ahhh....and then, when I USE the schematic? THEN I shall feel a stirring in my heart, reminding me of the great deeds it took to acquire this....'Extra Spiced Tea'.

Says I.

Amen to that thought Elbasunu.

After a hard day at the factories, and before I get to go to the Cantina, I get to <GASP> clean the flour out of my fur. Talk about exciting.

They already have NPC chefs in the game that can give out the missions and reward the schematics. There is Wuher in the mos Eisley cantina, there is Malikki, Jabba the Hutt's chef...

Give each NPC Bartender a schematic to give out as a reward for a quest.

I think that would be perfect. I would love to get a famous recipe from the head chef of Jabba the Hutt or a recipe of some Ewok Sweet Berry Wine. I love doing NPC quests but I agree what is the point if someone else does the quest for you and just brings you the schematic.

I would like to see these schematics be good and usefull but I would also like to see that the more powerful they are they more specific the ingredients. Like have Malikki have a version of T'illa Tiil to cleanse the great Jabba's pallat and help the bif man with digestion made from all tatooine ingredients or a version of that little creature jabba scarfed down in Return of he Jedi (that little frog in the waterbowl he had by his throne in the main chamber)

I would also like to see some drop items that can be used as BE addative equivilents like Rancor Heart or Fambaa Liver that can be collected by Rangers but anything like that is still months away
