Well I finally managed to aquire the Shellfish harvesting schematic.I built one, tried it out and it was working great...until I accidentaly hit the destroy key while trying to move it to my backpack. SO!! I went and created another harvester. Now everytime I go to use the thing it tells me "you are already searching for shellfish in this area". I tried logging off, rebooting the computer, going to another planet.

Anyone ever have this happen. If so please let me know.

I did when I accidentally destroyed it between using it and getting the shellfish. It should clear on server reset.

ok cool...it seemed to have fixed itself after 2 hours of not being logged in.

Now for my next question...anyone know of a macro to autostack the shellfish?

I have heard being logged off for 15 minutes work. It fixed a problem with a deleted vendor that was still visable for me.

I ran into this problem. I was running the macro to use the harvester every 6 seconds. Well, fishing at the same time, I would filet the fish and destroy the shells afterwards. If the macro is using the tool whle you select delete, it'll delete the harvester instead. I made a habit of reading the question before hitting okay. If you use another harvester, the msg will come up that you're still searching.

My fix: sit down, logoff. Wait 10 minutes, and log back on. It's clear.

You may wait until server restart, but I think that the server doesn't get the hook that the harvester was destroyed and waits for the return signal to state whether it has a successful find or not. Since the tool was destroyed, the server never sends the msg. So, logging off for 10 minutes releases all of your actions frommemory.

Try it, it'll work. I notified the CSRs of my quick fix. I'm hoping it makes it into the knowledgebase.

I have some on the bazaar on Bria. If you want the tool, do the NPC quest in Anchorhead under the bridge. He'll give you a schematic and you can learn it and make it if you have Engineering 3. Otherwise, check around on the vendors. If you have already done the quest before the patch, you can reset all themeparks outside the cantina in Mos Eisley.

I was going to put in a request to have shellfish stack by default. Other than that, the only idea I learned through other threads on the issue is to run a third party macro program that can get you banned. I don't wish to use third party software so I just fish while getting shellfish.

Yeah, I tried fishing...its more complicated then it was in UO (UO double click rod, guy pulls out fish) so I didn't care for it much. I like this method of getting meat better. Stand in water, double click on item, fish show up in inventory. Not as complex and quite rewarding for a master chef/expert bio engineer.
