Im a master chef but i dont use my skills much because im also a Master Arch and i like it a bit better. Anyway i have a friend who is a chef also and makes crazy money but he also doesnt like to go and corral casks and stuff.

So i started a bottling company and i got a little tailor skill to make the trim. He pays me 22k per case which is very fair since i have to run trim in one factory then get enough crystal to make these things. If i fully opened up this business would their be a market or should i just focus it as a side job?

Im hoping they will fix barrells to so i can make them. But we will see

I think that is such a nifty idea! That works out to 4.4 cpu? - that's not bad either. True the cask resources' stats don't matter, but they can be a hassle to get, well worth the upcharge I'd say, particularly since casks don't need to be identical. My concerns would be, hypothetically: quantity (can you keep up with demand if more than just a few chefs start outsourcing to you?) and storage (will customers who normally make use of output hopper space for mass quantities of components, find it worth the storage hassle to purchase?) If it were something like alcohol I'd say no to the latter, but with casks, were I on your server, I'd definitely come to you when I'm sick of mining cystalline.

Heh I wish more people would do this

I am currently running 1 clothing factory and 1 food factory almost totally dedicated to making my casks :/

2 trim: 200 credits.
150 gems: 450 credits.

It doesn't take that much factory time, my tailors deliver the trim to my vendors, and I've only had to buy gems twice since publish 6 ... if you go to the trouble of getting to know a resource vendor or two, you should be able to find gems in bulk at a low price.

So, all told, there's very little time or hassle involved in making casks (compared to say, additives), at least for me. I wouldn't pay more than about 1k for the service. I imagine others might pay more, if they had less factories or more trouble getting the trim/gems together.
