Thread: Who wants to go on a bug hunt?

I was hoping you all could help out getting some details about the various bugs we've been reporting. The list we have so far is in the "Bugs and issues pass #2" thread.

Here's what I've got so far.

1) Barrels do not increase stack size

Crafted two each of spiced tea, vasarian brandy, breath of heaven, ithorian mist, durindfire, and aitha; one with a small glass (for comparison) and one with a barrel. In all cases, the barrel-crafted drink had the same stack size as the small drink, both at initial assembly and after experimentation.

2) Stomach digestion is 45m

Drank two 50 filling Garrmorls. After 16m (given a 30m digestion this should be slightly over half empty) I tried to drink a third, received a "you are too full to drink that" message. Waited 7 more minutes (total of 23 from initial), and was successfully able to drink the third garrmorl.

We may want some more scenarios for this one.

3) Taking a second dose of a stat buff updates the UI timer incorrectly

Just before taking that third Garrmorl, the buff UI showed 17m remaining on the health/str/con buff (the initial drink had a 40m timer). After drinking the third garrmorl, the same icon now showed 40m remaining. The first two health buffs did wear off at the appropriate time, this is just a display issue.

4) Non-stat food effects continue after cloning

Ate a synthsteak, pikatta pie, and Ithorian Mist, then I went after a large nasty group of imperial NPCs (so I wouldn't take the decay). Well, the cowardly punks wouldn't deathblow, but I got my three-incaps-and-you-clone. After cloning, trying to eat any of those foods gave the "you are already under the influence of that food" message. I still had the +10 Defense vs. dizzy (from the Mist) on my skill sheet. During the Imp battle, the synthsteak mitigated 23 attacks. After cloning, I fought a few mobs, and received 7 more "damage was mitigated by defensive buffs" messages before those stopped. The synthsteak was good for 30 attacks.

5) Drinking Aitha or blue milk when it would heal you above your unwounded max incaps

I was not able to recreate this. It may have been fixed (was originally reported soon after the revamp went live) or requires more than the 10 mind wounds I had when I tested. It may also only happen when on Muon downer, more testing should be done.

6) Recipes requiring stats not contained in the resources are gated.

I tested with the (only?) two recipes that have this issue: Durindfire and Garrmorl. Below are the results I got. The "Max stat" results are where the experimental bars filled up and I couldn't experiment on them any more.

Durindfire:

20 Reactive gas 204 DR, 514 OQ

20 Gem: DR 630, SR810, OQ 833

Max flavor reached: 13%

Max Nutrition reached: 22%

Weighted DR: (20 * 204 + 20 * 630) / 40 = 417

Weighted OQ: (20 * 514 + 20 * 833) / 40 = 673.5

Flavor = ( 0.33 * DR + 0.66 * FL ) / 10 = ( 0.33 * 417 + 0 ) / 10 = 13.9

Nutrition = (0.33 * OQ + 0.66 * PE ) / 10 = (0.33 * 673.5 + 0 ) / 10 = 22.45

Garrmorl:

30 scaly hide: OQ 620

30 bone: OQ 620

Max flavor reached: 20%

Max Nutrition reached: 20%

Weighted OQ: 620

Flavor = ( 0.33 * OQ + 0.66 * FL ) / 10 = (0.33 * 620 + 0) / 10 = 20.6

Nutrition = ( 0.33 * OQ + 0.66 * PE) / 10 = (0.33 * 620 + 0) / 10 = 20.6

Both of these foods have equivalents for other stats/skills, and the projected maximum at 100% are the same. So I doubt that the 33% cap was taken into consideration when those ranges were set.

-------------

So, anyone else?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, haven't been to the old chef board much lately, but pet food seems busted too.

  • Pet food doesn't add to the stat of a pet

  • Pet food has a filling number but can only be fed to a pet when they are wounded so filling doesn't matter seeing as you can only feed them as certain times and then only till they are healed

Now I am not a CH, I never have been and I no nothing about pets so if someone out there can back these up or tell me I am wrong please do. This is just what I remember from a conversation with a guild mate a few weeks ago when she triedout some of the pet foodfor me.

Pet foods don't buff the pet if you use the "feed" radial option, but they do if you drag the food onto the pet. There's also a problem with mounts (not sure if it appears on other pets) where HAM increases don't show up until you give the mount a command; I've been using the formation ones (column andwedge). This second issue isn't just foods, Pet stims show the same behavior.

Pet food filling does appear to be pointless, although I'm not sure if the "only when wounded" applies when doing the drag method. You are limited to one food buff per hour, though. Or you can store and re-call the pet (which wipes out previous buffs).

I've noticed that #3 happens with more than one type of food/drink and quite often.

I've seen a different post about #4 and had a similar thing occur to me personally.

I'm sure all of these issues have been confirmed to you via other chefs, but that's all I can really kind of add to the current list seeing as that I am not yet a master chef and I haven't tested much of it yet.

I did some tests on the Aitha/Blue Milk reducing mind pool while wounded or on Muon downer.

Bug reported: If mind heal from aitha/milk would put you over your wounded maximum, you are incapped.

Results: heal worked, went to max - wounds, no incap.

Bug reported: If you drink aitha/blue milk while under the influence of a Muon downer, the heal subtracts from pool, probably incapping you.

Results: While on downer, surveyed a couple of times (to get mind damage), drank a milk. Pool maxed out (since my max was 350ish, milk was healing 420).

Unless anyone's seen this bug recently, I'm going to take it off the bug list. Faymar, you reported this back in February (soon after the revamp went live). Any new reports of it?

Oh, some more stuff with spices:

1) Smuggler's delight. Took Muon, ate a delight with 97% downer reduction. Downer was not reduced (was the normal 300s) and the Delight's icon remained in the buff UI. Took another Muon, the delight icon was removed from the UI. So it looks like you need to eat the Smuggler's delight before taking the spice (not just before the downer hits). When the second downer hit, it only lasted 6 seconds (3% of 300).

2) I don't have tubers and/or fruits good enough to hit 100% reductionon my smuggler's delight, even with 113 heavy nutrition additives. Can anyone duplicate the reported bug where having 100 (or more) reduction leads to no effect?
