Ok I have spent only a nominal amount of time grinding chef over the last month, and i have collected ok rescources. however, my problem is that despite getting some 800+ PE/OQ items i have been unable to regularly breach the 200 buff barrier on brandy. i am presently a 0434 chef using 810 pe/962 oq fruits and 968 pe/475 oq berries. now i know my berries oq isn't great, but i was honestly expecting over 200 atleast.
what tips and tricks should i be made aware of?
i plan on buying a chef aprone, mastering chef, and crafting pyollian and bespin port to increase my factory runs.
i mean what else is there and what pluses should i look for on my chef clothing?

The problem is you need to use a Broad Spectrum Nutrients to get the buff into the +400 range. To do that you'll need to finda Bio-Engineer who sells them. Once you find some you will need some water (quality no important) and use the BE tissue to craft a Medium Additive. This goes into the Additive slot and will give you quite a boost to the buff. At that point it's just experientation.
One thing to be aware of if you're going to be a chef is that ALL the stats are important in your resources if you want to make quality foods. If your OQ and PE are over 800 but your FL is only 125 you'll get a decent buff but your brandy will only last 35 mins and won't sell very well (all number hyopthetical, I don't know the exact formulas
). Likewise if your DR is very low you'll have to burn experimentation points to get the filling down to 50 or less.Good luck!

Well, right now you are short an experimentation point or two from not having Master Chef yet.
Even without a BSN, you should be able to break 200 provided your resources are good enough. When you try to hit that buff level, what's running out first: your experimentation points or the empty bubbles in the nutrition category? If you run out of bubbles to experiment on, that means you're being limited by the resource quality.
If you're running out of experimentation points, how successful are your experiments? Anything less than a "great success" should probably be scrapped, since the difference between a good and a great is pretty significant. Try spending fewer points per experiment, onlytwo or three at a time pretty much guarantee a great success at xxx4.
Finally, how are you splitting your experimentation across the categories? You may want to try putting one or two points at a time into nutrition until you hit 200, then seeing what effect your remaining points can have on flavor, filling, and quantity.
Based on your resource stats, I think you should be able to hit 200 without too much trouble. You only need to get Nutrition to roughly 55% to get that buff.
Once you start throwing BSNs into the mix, it gets a little more complicated, but with an 85 BSN (a good place to stick to) you can hit a +400 buff experimenting nutrition to around 73%.

Look for chef +experiment clothing attachments. The chef apron alone adds +5 experiment, so in order to gain another chef experiment point, you need another +5 experiment by means of clothing attachments. This totals to +10, or one more experiment point bringing the total to 11. You can get a maximum of +20 experiment, or 2 more experiment points. This can be rather costly however.
If the cause of the brandy not making 200 is that you can't experiment all the way, try getting more experiment points as suggested above andgo for amazing successes.
My suggestions
