I've had a look around various threads, but I haven't found a succint answer that'd make sense for one who doesn't deal with crafting numbercrunching. Which animal resources would be most usefulfor chefs at the momentand what stats shall I look for?

Meat is one of the most important (any type). There are certain foods which require herb/carnivore meat specifically.

Ideally you want PE,OQ,FL and DR to be high as all are fairly important. Most frequently people will go for FL,OQ and PE. At least thats my experience of it anyway.

Not exactly a chef food, but I gather the meats needed to make the Bio Engineer component myself, cause the guys who sell em retail cant seem to get past 85 BSN's on flurry... but when I look for meat there, I'm looking for OQ, PE and FLV, the DR doesn't really matter. Although any meat can be used for BSN's I tend to go towards carnivore meat as it can be harvested alot easier than the others, thus allowing me to pay less for it

You will never go wrong gathering large quantities of carnivore meat and insect meat. the carn meat oq/pe/fl are most important, for the insect, it is oq/pe/dr. Wild meat while on endor can work well as well when the oq/pe/fl is high, as it drops in large quantities off mereks.

Agreed. Anytime High PE/OQ/FL Carnivore meat comes into shift, I will almost close shop and hunt continuously. I always enlist hunters as well, and pay them well for their work. I can easily make that money back by providing my BE with the meat to make my Tissues and getting a rebate on the TIssue Price. But I will also buy ANY meat that is high in those stats.

If you can get HIGH quality Insect meat I'm sure chefs would happily buy that. I know Carn meat is also important, but its a lot easier to get. I personally have over 800k of Uber carn meat, and can't seem to get stacks bigger then 15k of insect.
