Thread: do u chefs use bespin port
When I first started using it, I felt that the effect was quite noticeable and also that the chance of amazing successes was much higher with fewer points - using bespin in a research center with a 3 or 4 point experiment seemed to give an amazing success more often than not, while a 1 point experiment was almost certain to be amazing. Recently, I haven't noticed nearly as much benefit. Just yesterday I did 5 single-point experiments with bespin before each one and didn't get a single amazing success. Probably just luck, but I do wonder if something got changed in the last patch or two.

Ok, maybe I've missed something...(i'm not a chef, I'm an artisan) cause as I understand it Port adds to your experiment points...therefore giving u an extra point to experiment with (depending on your current exp skill) and has no effect on chances of an amazing success...that's pyollian cake and the assembly skill.
If I'm wrong, let me know...cause I'll have to look at crafting in a whole new light!
How useful exp points are to chefs...well that i wouldnt know
nope you've got it all wrong
port effects you experimentaion % crit fails, good, great amazing success. Adds to that same hidden score your crafting tool, station and research center work on.
The cake works on assembly. once you've put all your resources into the schem and hit assemble you roll the dice so to speak and it gives you a score. If you crit fail here you lose it all. Assembly tapes and cake effect this outcome. Alot of people think an amazing success here gives you a better chance for one when experimenting, as far as I know thats just rumor I've never seen anything official say that.
Port does not give you extra experimenting points. you get 10 points from master ( 11 if you're a human art with 3/3/3/0 I think it is ) and the other 2 have to come from items.
