These merchent changes are going to hurt...I hope they up these numbers...they kind of blow "variety" right out the window.

----------------------

Artisan Business 3 Get (1) Vendor, that will hold (50) items, for a total of (50) items for all vendors

Merchant Novice Get (2) Vendors, that will hold (60) items, for a total of (120) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 1 Get (3) Vendors, that will hold (70) items, for a total of (210) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 2 Get (4) Vendors, that will hold (80) items, for a total of (320) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 3 Get (5) Vendors, that will hold (90) items, for a total of (450) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 4 Get (6) Vendors, that will hold (100) items, for a total of (600) items for all vendors

Merchant Master Get (6) Vendors, that will hold (110) items, for a total of (660) items for all vendors

I'm crying in my little corner of the galaxy right now...hoping against hope that this will be changed before it goes live.

I understand the theory...but selling crates of 5 will become a pain in the arse if they don't sell VERY quickly.

Well....here's hoping I guess....

Its coming with publish 10 I believe, and is currently still in testing on Test Center 2. Hopefully they up the vendor limit, as for dedicated crafters the number is way to low, and would mean you would have to stock your vendor mutliple times day..

Well, the forum post with the notes got eaten, but it's on the TC launchpad so I guess I can comment.

I agree that the numbers will hurt most professions, especially ones like chef (wide variety, fast turnaround) andtailor (really wide variety). Personally, I think that starting at 50 is ok, each box of merchant should add 15 to the limit (in addition to the additional vendor), and Master Merchant should get something like 175 per vendor.

I also didn't see anything about the proposed "deactivation" of vendors if you have more than your skills will support.

Let's hope the "nothing is set in stone until pushed live" means that tweaks are something we can hope for.

well with those numbers it will be hard just to stay stocked, and for someone like Weaponsmith and droid engiern it is going to hurt them bad. Our crafting profession have so many items that we can sell, and that is going to have to require us to playd daily and waste alot of time. One Factory craft of time is 40 itmes right there. That is crazy to only have 2 full factory of items in your vendor.

Those numbers work for me although the current number are too harsh. Those even those numbers would be very harsh to a few merchant types. I would go with +15 per management level the double it at master merchant. If you are willing to go all the way to master, you should get that much of a bonus. I don't see the db being the issue here, as it is working just fine with the current limitless vendors.

I am really aggrivated by this one. Storage is so limited. Now if you make too much product....there will be nowhere to put it. Me having to be BE/Chef cause additives are so hard to find...makes it impossible to get far enough into the merchant tree to have enough storage space for the food I need. The vendor storage is something that I highly rely on.

Honestly what does this do to make the game better? I really don't see any point to this besides inconveniencing the players. What about people who only get to play on weekends? Their vendor sells out on Tuesday and they can't even restock until 4-5 days later. Then people go there and its empty...they lose credibility. They lose money. Come on devs instead of doing this why not fix the things that are really the problem with this game?!!?!?!? How abotu the GCW....Combat revamp? Something new for us to do?

Make enough noise, and they will increase those numbers a bit - note "aa bit". I can't see them going much higher.

I imagine those numbers were put in to see the reactions, and they have a higher figure they actually intend to put in, but starting off low, and increasing it after all the uproar will make them look as if they are listening

Well LIke -zocau- said this is a stupid idea. We have had vendors like it was for over a year. People who do alot of harvestors and production are going to hit hard. It is going to be hard to find more products. To be honest this does not help any player in the game at all. This was not need and this was not a priopity. It looks like to me that the devs are wasting there time on things that really don't hurt this game. Instead of fixing a professoin they nerf the profession. There was nothing wrong with merchant except for the releasing your skills bug. MERCHANT WAS PERFECT other than that. This only creates more problems for us. This will cost us to use more of our skills points to be a merchant that going to be an issue. Could the devs thought of a better way to make merchant more desireable instead of making it a necessity. I just picked up chef again and was going to start making things. Now I am hae secound thoughts and thinking of forgetting crafting all together becuase this is just some BS. They could have done something better like give certain skills to merchant, if you so hight in merchant then your factories could make bettercrates, more experiment points in our profession. I mean come on there is 2 new ideas right there. NO PLAYER COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS. IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE GAME

After my initial rant I have more to add This is time for us to make a major push for our component crate size to be raised. I know I count on my vendor to store excess food additives, alcohols, etc... A typical Brandy run for me is 20 crates of casks, 40 crates of alcohols, 20 crates of BE enhancements. there is 80 items right there. More than 1 vendor can hold. Now if you like to keep a backstock of components so you are manufacturing day to day incase someone comes and cleans out your vendor. This would nearly be impossible. If they upped the crate size to 50 on most these things that would at least be a big help and also make our life easier when loading up factories so it doesn't take 10-15 mins of just moving crates.
