Hey all, im thinking of dabbling in BE just so I wont have to put up with the hassle of fooling with the other BEs...but what tree do I need? Not really sure...Know I dont need tree 1 since I wont be crafting animals..and I heard that experimented tissues/supplements/whatever doesnt count in the outcome of the item that it goes in...so do I need tree 2 or 3? Or will I need master? Help a fellow out here!

You would need the Tissues branch of BE. To get there you need one branch of Scout and and one branch of Medic (crafting). I hope you didn't want points for anything else.

If you want to make quality tissues, you will need to Master BE, as the Master box holds more experimentation and assembly.

If you want to have competitive food products you HAVE to master BE. There is no way around it. While it takes up most your skills pts being BE/Chef...if you want to compete with other chefs andmake your own additives its the only way.

This depends on what someone considers quality.
At 0404(or whatever 2 trees it is) you can make 80-82% BSNs fairly easily. The biggest downside to me is you can't make heavys. This takes out +25 bivoli from your menu unless you can buy these from someone.

Make a Master BE, thereafter you can make your ownBSNs - after fighting for the 20 meat against the other Chefs and paying 30+cpu for it and 4cpu for your 60 of Flora (unless you have 2 or 3 alts to hold harvies for you).
You'll be able to make an BSN for a mere 840cpu and save yourself from all those horrid BEs who think that making a 60% profit on their nasty additives is fair...
Thereafter you can add Trim*2 (100cpu), water(3cpu), 20 berries(4cpu) and 20 Fruit(4cpu) and sell your Brandy for a fair price - say around 2K per Brandy, so no-one thinks you're a nasty Chef trying make a horrid 60% profit.
You can then sit around and congratulate yourself on spending all those points to save a measly 500cpu on your brandy, after all - you'd then have to sell it at 2.5K or even 3K percask of 18uses!!
No-one would pay that much would they? Oh no no no...

3k per cask? 75k a crate? I don't recall ever seeing it priced that cheaply

I sell +412, 41:30, 49 Filling, 21 use Brandy for 75k per crate of 25.
No complaints so far..
EDIT: I'm not a BE either.

Actually get Master BE just so you dont have to deal with people with these types of attitudes. LMAO 30c/u for meat ... I paid 10c/u for meat got over 700,000 units of it, and it makes +117's with the Flora I harvested for .33 c/u. Regardless though the point is that you get BE not to save money, but just so you don't have to deal with BE's.

You have to master BE and its not because of other bio-engineers. You need the tissue tree of course. Otherwise you can't make tissues. You'll need the engineering branch so you get the experiment points. Without 10 experiment points you won't be able to make +87 BSN and the like. You can't master the profession without the animal crafting and DNA sampling trees.
When you start making animals you'll see why some bio-engineers don't bother with tissues at all. Its a whole heck of a lot of fun.

I'm Master Chef and working on BE for a few reasons, the top reason being... I don't want to have to depend on the market to get tissues. I'd rather make them myself, and between my friends and guildmates, I don't seem to be suffering for resources. I'm also in a guild that PvP's, so I'm really looking forward to being instrumental in base destruction. The creature part looks interesting as well, but I'm not sure when my brain will have enough storage space to understand it all.
I've got an alt for combat and extra lots, as well as lots on a good friends account. So, I harvest just about everything I need... so far. Of course, my main meat supplier just had to drop his scouting for Pikeman stuff, that might sting a little.
