Do they contain stats?

No they have no stats so don't worry about any quality issues. You may be able to find trims for sale by the crate on bazaars in major cities, but it is best if you can hire a tailor to make a full run of crates for you. I did that and it cost me 2k/crate for 80k total. Getting the 75k of crystals to make the casks is another story...

I had a tailor i know ingame, make a schematic of 1000 for me running them off overnight, i'll worry about the gemstone when i come to that lol :/ SO cask's are basically the largest and most powerfullest containers chefs can make? ( better then large glass etc ).

Trim wasn't bad for me either, the first tailor I randomly sent a tell to had his finishing up in his factory, so i nabbed the whole run. Gemstone also wan't a problemfor me, as I used to sell resources, and had about 2 million units of gemstone sitting in a backpack I had forgotten about.

If only I had stockpiled good berries and fruits...
