Can anyone reassure me here ? I suppose this is fairly obvious, just checking that I've not missed something...
The value that is represented by a foods "Filling"can effectively be expressed as % of 45mins, right ? If the stomach capacity is 100, then 28 filling is actually 28% of 45 minutes (the time it takes the stomach to empty).
So, discounting lag, 2x49 fill brandies should be gone after 44mins and 6secs ?
Does that mean that at 49 fill, the ideal duration for my brandy is around 44mins and 30secs ? Or is that timing it too tightly ?

To be honest I thought that with a filling of 28, it would take 45 minutes to lose that 28.

Your right its close to that formula, but probably not an exact science. Two 49 Fill Brandies will take 43-44 minutes, I don't know how much exact testing has been done on this. I beleive the DEVs stated it was supposed to take 30 minutes to empty stomach, but I am guessing they are gonna keep it 45 now that everyone is used to it.

Gernally I just divide the filling by 2, that tell's me the duration I need to have a constant uage buff on said product.

Each 1 point of filling is 0.45mins which roughly works out to 1pt @ 27 seconds. So a 49 filling food would take just over 22minutes to empty.

Your math looks right, but I think there are some other things to consider. If you start with an empty stomach and drink two 49 fill brandies, you are only at 98% full. To drink two more, you need to be 98% empty, so you can still be 2% full. You really only need to digest 98-2=96% before you can rebuff with the 49 fill brandy. This may be why many people say 43 minutes is enough, since 96% of 45 is 43.2. Of course, in this case you would not be able to keep the constant buff going.
I don't think anyone has really figured out how the stomach empties either. There could easily be some rounding where 100% takes 45 minutes to empty, anything from 95-99% takes 42.75m (95% of 45), 90-95% takes 40.5, etc. Thats just a wild guess, but I haven't seen enough testing to say either way.
