Hello
I don't post often, but I've been a Master Chef for a few weeks now and finally decided to start collecting the Food Experimentation tapes. I have the Chef Apron (+5) and two +1 tapes I bought (I'm not rich so this wil take a while).
I am a female chef, so what clothing outfit can I wear - with my apron - that will let me have the most places to put the tapes since I can only afford to get cheap ones?
I hope some of you can help me work this out. I'd like to get that extra experimentation point and maybe work for the second one once I have my business running properly. (I only just started my vendor this weekend at Kabar because I had to collect enough resources to make nice food first)
Karli..

Assuming your not a wookie, Pants, Shirt, Hat, Gloves, Shoes, Belt, Apron, Bandoleer (can't wear a backpack with it). I would try to get some more +1's or a +2 or +3 and get to 11 points, then maybe save up for nice +5 tapes. Also remember that Apron takes the place of the Jacket slot which also means robes. Another note being a female, I don't think you can wear tusken clothing.

Ooo - thanks for the information about the Tusken Clothes - I didn't know that.
I noticed my dress disappears when I put my apron on (very draughty!) that's why I thought I'd better find out what clothes I can have.
Thank you for your help.

Karli! Get off my forum account!!
Sorry about that - she used my PC instead of hers to post. The joys of real life marriage *chuckles*
(Karli is Gavriella's alt in case anyone wondered why she suddenly took over Gavvy's swoop business)

What's the advantage of using a bandoleer instead of a backpack for SEAs? I thought you could have socketed packpacks as well.

You can have socketed backpacks, you just can't put any attatchments in em

And always just to be sure, buy the clothing, and make sure you can wear it all together BEFORE putting your valuable skill tapes in them.

Uhhh, here's a really dumb question. A chef's apron already has +5 food experimentation on it? If so, is that the one you get from Jabba's missions?

Ok, new to the profession, and never really messed with crafting aprons when I was a weaponsmith (probably why my weapons sucked, and I dropped it...lol)
I see advertisements frequently for "12 point" crafters. I understand this allows more experimentation. Can anyone post a clear and concise way that this is tallied? I once saw someone state that for every +10 SAE points you attach you get an extra experimentation point. If this is true, does that mean that people who are "12 point" have +120 SAE? Many thanks in advance, and if this was detailed in some other thread that I was too lazy to find I apologize!

For each +10 Food experimentation you get an extra point to experiment with. The cap is +25 from clothes, but +20 will give you two experimentation points. A master chef already has +100 to expeimentation for 10 points you use to experiment with. Adding in the extra +20 Food experimentation gives you a total of 12 points to experiment with giving you the "12 Point Chef"

The apron schematics from Jabba's missions all look the same until a Tailor learns it (so they tell me) then they find out which apron it is, and can make it.
It's just pot luck as to which one you get so it's easier to just buy the Chef apron from a local tailor, although it's worth trying to cut a deal with one if you do already have an apron schematic.
