Thread: Crafting exp tapes 12pt....13pt?....14pt?

Hi all,
Just a quick question, i'm a 12pt chef & haveheard that the +25 cap has been removed, does this include crafting?, i.e. if i put a +20 exp tape on an already 12pt suit is that gonna give me 14pts?
if so is this normal or a bug?
any input would be appreciated

From what I understand, experimentation has not changed. The most you can have as a crafter is 12 points, unless you're a human with 44xx in the artisan tree, in which case, you can get 14 points with a +25 suit.

I added +12 to my already +25 artisan outfit and it did not give me any more experimentation points. So the experimentation caps are still in place.

I am a human, a master artisan & 12pt chef, but i still only have 12pts, can u please explain how u manage to get 14pts?

You need +25 Artisan Experimentation as human.
Humans start with a +15 Artisan Exp bonus. at 44xx they have 115 Art Exp (which gives you 11 points by default and 12 if you add only +5), unlike 100 like the other races (Master Artisan doesn't add any more).
If you add +25 in skilltapes you come out at 140, which will give you 14 Exp points if you craft Artisan food (or other Artisan items).

Yes i'm aware that tapes are all capped at +25 but i'm refering to them now stacking...or not!
also can anyone confirm that a human with artisan 4400 with +25 artisan exp tape(s) gets the 14pts to experimentation before i go out & spend a ton on tapes....thx again

I mean you can't get any more than +25 from any 1 mod from skill tapes... experimentation or not...
and yes, my human 4400 artisan has 14 exp points with +25 in tapes.

I'm a human artisan 4400 also, with 14 points. It's for real, even though nobody else believes it, lol.

There's some people, no matter how many times you try to explain it, that just will never understand how the 12 point crafting works....

Great, thx guys for your help, i'll be lookin out for some more artisan tapes. I didn't realise that the +15 extra artisan exp given to humanswas not included in the +25 cap, so infact giving u +40 exp
lovely, that'll help increase those times on the blob candy & bofa treats etc
