I am due to open up a new set of vendors in addition to my first set in my Guild Mall and I was wondering what more I can do boost sales.

I have a ranged of about 8-8 different food and drinks. I advertise on the trade forum for my galaxy, and I occasionally spam at a busy npc city, which my new vendors will be located to. I was wondering what more I can do to boost my sales which ahve been mediocre since I started Chef a month ago.

Word of month is your best tool, get your guild to spread the word on how good your food is pricing can be an issue try to keep them lvl do not try to undercut your neighbours as a price war could kill you.

Promotions can also be good, i gove away crates of ruby blielwith all 50item crates of stims i sell and i still make alot of profit.

Also hit Eisley they are all up and comong BIG spenders and you find that once a peep finds a good outlet they never change so make sure that outlet is yours

im not a chef mind you but have been suceesffully running business's of all kinds on Eclipse for nearly two years

When sales are slow I place singles on the bazaar for a discounted price. Make up a nice advertisement and put it with all the singles. I get a lot of business this way because they often send me a tell asking about my vendors. I compare the name on the tell to the "instant sale" e-mail I receive.

Here is something fun I do to advertise sometimes. I usually do this when I am running to or from my vendors outside Coronet in front of the starport. You can adjust the give-away price to what you can afford.

/shout GIVING AWAY 300K TO THE FIRST PERSON TO SEND ME A TRADE REQUEST AND PUT ANY APEX FOOD IN THE TRADE WINDOW FROM MY VENDORS AT 400 -5555 IN CORONET.

Then I just watch for a system message for a trade request. I use 300k because that is the most expensive food that I sell so I am basically giving away a free crate of any food from my vendor. It's fun to do that and see 20 people head your way.

Be sure that you do this when Coronet is full of people so you get maximum exposure. Also be sure to announce afterwards:

/SHOUT (INSERT WINNER'S NAME HERE) HAS JUST WON THE APEX FOODS 300K GIVEAWAY FOR JUST SIMPLY HAVING AN APEX FOOD IN HIS/HER INVENTORY! CONGRATULATIONS (INSERT WINNER'S NAME HERE)

You may get a barage of tells afterwards asking where your vendors are so be prepared

Not sure that would work for me as I've only been a chef a month and this new set of vendors is my first at a high profile mall. Nice idea tho. Will bear it mind for when I my business is a little further along.

Dont worry about it being slow. It takes *months* to build up trade. Just make sure vendors are always stocked as well as possible and you will build up repeat trade. If they are not stocked with what people want they wont come back. Basically if you keep as many customers as possible happy then they will come back.

also its not particularly fast atm anyway.

my best advice is keep your vendors as well stocked as possible, even if it means having less vendors. people will travel if they know that they are going to a vendor that is always stocked well and they then will tell their friends about your awesome vendor. My only vendor atm is in a player city on Lok and I can easily sell 5 mil worth of foods in less then 2 days because my customers know the trip to Lok is well worth it. The biggest mistake you can make IMHO is to try to grow too quick and not be able to keep your vendors stocked, many people (and I am this way) will not return to a vendor that they visited and was not stocked. the auction channel is another great way to advertise your vendors as you are running around in game just run a macro...believe it or not some people actually do look there

Thats a myth. With the right ad campaign and the resources/experience to back it up you can achieve a massive customer base very fast.

And sales might have even picked up for me post pub 17.

I can prove it's a myth. I've been open for 2 weeks now and I've been averaging 3 mil worth of sales a day for about a week now.

Learn what all the post CU foods and drink do. Educate your customers...most people still have no idea what to buy or use. A little help will go a long way.

I'm talking for a new guy to break into the market. Most people have lost business after pub 17, some havent. Its how it goes sometimes.
