I am new to chef and herd that Corellian Ale was a good drink to make. I made some with a fill of 15, duration 44, melee damage +206. I am wondering is this good? I have looked around on other vendors and am having trouble comming up with pricing and comparable qualities.

sounds pretty good... if i were making it, i'd get the duration up to 1min and then maximize the melee accuracy mod. i don't stock this or deutyrium pyro (its ranged accuracy counterpart) because the durations are so low that only a complete fool would program such an item into the game on purpose. in other words, i'm giving the devs the benefit of the doubt and maintaining that the duration is a bug.

Deutyrium pyro is one of my best sellers. Ranged professions use this all the time because in theory accuracy compared to the target's defenses dictates how much damage is done. It also has a low enough fillingthat it can be taken over and over. In most pvp, battles (BH/Jedi Included) only lasts a couple minutesanyways. I have not tested this product myself as I do not have a ranged character at the moment but the same people keep coming in and buying moreand more. And I'm talking some of the best PVP'ers on Radiant. I amworking on the Corellian Ale as we speak and expect it to be a big hit as well.

Completely true. Anybody who is a really good pvper uses either Pyro or Ale, depending on whatever profession they are. I don't mind the duration (though it is rather short) but the filling should be lowered to around 8-10 if it's going to remain at such a low time.

My ale is +209 / 59 seconds / 16 fill / 18 use. I would definitely agree with the above poster that you should try and hit about 1 minute if possible. I'm lucky though, harvested a bunch of good Corellian Domesticated Wheat a few months back just for random recipes and it's paid off now.

yeah, i get special orders for pyro and ale a lot... but i still refuse to stock them regularly, because i'm convinced their duration is a bug (and i'm a lazy bastage who hates trim and casks). i recently had a guy order some pyro and he confirmed for me that his damage was increased after he took pyro. he said he ran several controlled tests and although the "estimated dps" on his weapon never increased when he drank it, the damage per shot did go up =)

Edit: i also tried pyro and ale and they definately do increase damage. that just makes me even more puzzled by that whole concept of defense and accuracy being a determining factor in damage, cuz higher defense certainly doesn't lower the damage taken=/
