So having been trying to decide my temp on my alt for ages I finally did it and went

MArtisan

MChef

Master Marksman

Merchant 0400

Novice Weaponsmith

Novice Pistols

The Master Marksman was suppose to be for protect while checking Harvs

I now have found out I'm only CL12 with it, so its bascially useless.

Anyway. So why did I go M Chef. Well the Artisan foods have been easy to make and have sold quite well. I sell all Artisan foods I make for 20k a crate. So while deciding this template I looked at the following site

It convinced me to go Master Chef 'cause some of the good chef food doesn't require specific resources. It seems the site is wrong. For example Vasarian Brandy it was implying didn'trequire specific resources which it does.

So now I'm not sure about keeping Master Chef, I might drop it and do the hard grind for MPistoleer.

It just seems most Chef food did specific resources which just gets so boring trying to find.

Last year I quit the game due to bordem, but have come back 7months later. My alt was MDE and MArtisan, and TKA 4443but respeced him to MBH, MRifleman and Pistols 0003. I'd been MDE for a while, but hardly made any droids once I got there as the later droids required specific resources and this just made crafting so boring, having to find specific resources. So I turned my alt into a combat profession.

While using my alt I missed crafting so brought another toon. Being MArtisan has been fun I can create swoops which I use to do with my alt to make me money. Makinga swoop doesn't require specific resources. Making Artisan foods doesn't require specific resources so its been good making those. Now though, it seems most of the good food Chef's make does. I haven't got the time or the patience to find these specific resources, so it seems I just wasted my respec

Oh well.

What do you Master Chefs think? Should I drop Master Chef?

Now with the Master Marksman it means things that left me alone before this alt was a combat profession, now attack me, which is why I might drop the Chef for Master Pistols as the Artisan food is so much easier to make.

I wouldn't want to make foods if I could make the chef ones...but that's just me.

That being said, there really aren't that many planet-specific resource requirements if that's what you mean. The brandy doesn't really need Talusian fruit & berries - it just says it does.

Corellian Ale (Corellian domesticated wheat) and Bespin (Tat berries & fruit) are probably the only planet-specific ones you'll really need to make (well that I can think of right now).

Yes, chef takes a variety of resources (though nowhere near what it used to) but most aren't planet specific so it's not really that bad. And anyways... who would want to craft if it was really easy? The point is for it to be challenging.
