Thread: I liked the old days of Anything you can get in a filling bar better

Seriously, this "This stacks with that but only if this happens first! But be careful because if you change this around without first eating one of these you'll be screwed. Also, if you want to try that this won't work anymore so you might as well stick with those over there, but of course those don't really offer to much, maybe you should just go ahead with this that and those thingies there, try that? No didn't work either? Ah hell I dunno, just eat one then screw it"

If the devs want a "Baseline 20%" deal, then they need to make the food like that not restrict what you can eat. If I want to take 2 brandies and eat them both at once, filling my entire drink bar, why the hell shouldn't I be able to?

Honestly, what in the hell is the point of the filling bars if this stuff has tons of additional restrictions on it? A lot of the itmes in pvp lately I've seen people just plain and simply go without food, and just take spice. Its a hell of a lot cheaper, simpler, and it even offers more of a boost. Im not looking for a spice nerf here (Although I know the devs will take it that way), im simply looking for food to get returned to the way the system worked pre-cu.

Now, you don't have to make them super overpowering like they used to be, I swear the devs come up with some half baked idea when something much more less complicated could have solved the entire issue a lot easier, and without the corresponding head ache the current system has: Reduce all foods effectiveness by 50% and let them stack freely.

I could care less how powerful they are, just PLEASE! For the love of god, let them stack freely!

I agree completely.

/sarcasm on

Unfortunately, Blixtev the Great doesn't see it that way. If we went back to the old days then the new nubs that are joing this game by the millions would have to pay too much money for the food. Then they would complain and the Combat Nerf wouldn't accomplish anything. Plus, the nubs would be confused by the stacking which is just toooo complicated.

/sarcasm off

I do so yearn for the return of the Golden Age of SWG....before the Dark Times.....before the Combat Nerf. They should have tweaked as you suggest.

The Devs had to do something about all the crafters running around the galaxy doing harvie runs and using their factories without a care in the world before the CU. So first they nerfed doc buffs, made it so we cant wear armour, made us combat level one and made every Mob in the galaxy agro us, but we could stilltake foods and spiceto keep us alive. Obviously the devs couldnt have crafters exploiting like that so they nerfed foods.

You see, there was a valid reason. This has added a whole new level of content for crafters called "try to get from the cloner to your harv without getting triple incapped again". This content is the equivelant of the DWB or the Cor Corvettefor fighting profs.

You forget the hours upon hours of merchant content that was added as well. Sadly, this was nerfed to only resource and armor-selling merchants.

Trying to find a combination of foods and drinks that will actually stack and add upto near250 regen is enough to give anyone a headache. I tried earlier and am still recovering. So perturbed was I that i decided to come to the chef forum and say something, even tho i'm not a chef.

Is it won-won, accaragm and estot'?

Or ahrisa, brandy and a shule nef?

/sigh need more aspirin

I kind of like it now that something sells beside canape and brandy.

i kind of agree with the devs that the old system (from a week after the cu, til pub 18 i believe) overbuffed people, especially when you factor in the spices. the fact that you could get around 10k health and have regens that barely ever moved was silly and reminded me a lot of the pre-cu doc buffs. besides, i haven't noticed any hit to sales since it was changed.

if you're still confused by the stacking, the rules and combos can be found here
