Just dropped Master Commando to become a chef on shadowfire. Seeing as how there's like 4 on the entire server. Wondering if anyone has any tips on what gives good crafting xp, etc. Any information would be great. Thanks.

At the beginning the grind is really tough. After some boxes it gets a lot better.
I started out with Wastril Bread that isn't really nice exp. Think it was about 70 exp per craft (practice). Then I continued with entrees until I could make that stewed gwouch. Stewed Gwouch gives about 105 exp per craft. Not too good either. But the good thing about it is that you can use almost every possible flora resource for it + water. Water is easy to get - whatever food resource is easy to get. So you won't run out of material so fast.
Next thing you should do is get to ithorian mist in mixology. And from there Make those mists until you are Master. This is the grind method.
If you intend to sell some food/drinks you should also push cooking as soon as possible as this gives you more experimentation points.
Worked for me but was still pretty boring.

I'm doing the grind right now and once you're get mix2 it's ok. first couple of boxes are a pain but they go fairly quick.
For making Mists start harvesting Wheat and lots of it. You'll need a good stock pile of corn and water too but you need double that in wheat.
Just this weekend i went thru 30k in wheat and 15k in corn and water. and i didn't grind all weekend.
