Thread: I feel for the chef
I'm not a chef, but I feel that there needs to be major improvement in that class. I have a good friend who made it prettyfar in chef, but it took him a very long time to develop EXP in that class. No one buys his food. He has to keep prices down to compete. Weaponsmiths can overcharge whatever they feel they can sincealot of othersuse weapons. Food is in low demand except for pets. A large percent ofmy friend'sincome was from selling bofa treats in factory crates on the bazaar for pet food. I eat food when I can to support this class by being a consumer. But I can't eat it all te time.
I can't eat alot of food because it takes too long to need food again. If the sun can rise and set in a moment (it seems like) I should be able to eat food more reguarly. Higher quanities at a time, and I shouldget hungry more often.
I want to see food compete with doctor buffs, foods that can increase or cause you to have immunities vs. poisons, bleeding, and other DOT attacks.
Foods that can increase your run speed and/or attack speed.
I'm a ranger and I'd like to see foods that may, in theory, keep my scent down vs. animals, or increase my sences. Make me run faster....I'm pretty wired after 3 cups of coffee.
Riflemen can use some kind of downers to deaded their nerves to make a more steady shots...increasing aim while prone.
Foods that can be used asdestractions or counter attacks. If you are a non-combat class, drop, or use this food and the animal will ignore you as long as you aren't attacking it, giving you a chance to get away.
Something to enhance the skills of certain classes. Makes you more focused to lower your failure rate on expermintation while crafting. Able to deal with more complex items easier.
I hope I've tossed in some new ideas. I may have hit on subjects that you already have brought up. I want to see a patch withchanges to the chef class. This latest patch was upsetting to see nothing added, removed or changed to the chef class. There are many players that want to see more chefs. My guild is looking to recruit one for long hunting parties....but then we ask, "Will a chef really add to the fun?" I'd like to say yes, but.......in the future I hope to be able to say "YES!" with confidence. I'm speaking to people in charge of the changes made to this class. I haven't read all the post in this profession so I may be beating a dead horse. Just saying, "Not just chefs are looking for the chef class to be better then it is." I hope I didn't offend anyone who is a chef. I wish they could be better understood.
"I want to see food compete with doctor buffs, foods that can increase or cause you to have immunities vs. poisons, bleeding, and other DOT attacks."
I really like this idea, actually.
Wow...haven't read this forum in a while, actually I put my expert bartender on hold because it was too depressing not getting any sales due to all the bugs...
but I really think you have some good ideas in there. I know I've heard the run speed buff mentioned before, but a lot of those are new to me, I particularly like the increasing aim and immunities vs. dot attacks ideas.
ah, i wish some of these things would actually happen, I don't know, maybe this year? Then maybe I could actually have fun playing my bartender again. Sigh.
