Thread: If TH is late, it is my fault

Hey all,

Just a quick note...

Thunderheart just asked all the correspondents for an updated top five issues list. But I am not handing it in.

The reason is because

A) Everything on my current top five is being addressed by the upcoming revamp.

B) When the revamp does come in we are going to have a whole bunch of new issues, I am sure, and a new top five...or top ten. I don't want to give them a top five that will be outdated soon, but rather concentrate on a newer one.

I did mention that drinks don't show the number of charges and that we don't get XP from factories at all.

So, if TH does not have anything for chefs the next time he does a round of top fives, it is my fault, not his. Just thought I would mention it.

onders various meanings of "late", selects on with maximum humor potential.

SirVimes, we appreciate you going that extra mile for the chef community, but if you're going to sleep with SOE staff, at least use protection. And how did TH become a woman (and fertile, at that)?

I have seen pictures of Thunderheart....no, I can't go there, even in jest....

If you wanted to make jokes you could always go for the dearly departed, late Thunderheart....and it's SirVimes' fault that he is this way.

But I really don't encourage humor on these forums. Thank you.

Yeah, I concur, no use handing anything in now, we should wait until after the revamp. We don't even know if any of the issues we would bring out now have already been fixed or not.

Hey SirVimes, did you ever ask TH about upping the crate size to 50?

I guess if all of our worries are in the revamp, they should spend the next cycle addressing the other poor professions. Wow, I guess we aren't one of those right now!

Ya know...it's funny...several correspondents brought up the subject of crate size at the same time. Haven't heard back though

I think in regards to crate size, 1 change that wouldn't really affect gameplay (i.e. people carrying arround a ton more than they should be able to...) is to increase the size of only subcomponent crates...

alchohols, carbosyrups, dough, pastebread, ummm bantha butter, sweet cake mix, etc, should all be able to have crate sizes of 50 with 0 gameplay impact on the combat side...as far as crafting, the only thing that'd really be affected is the amount of time a chef needs to dedicate to babysitting factories, and lots used for factories...which would also include lots borrowed, or traded. might be less server side impact too since there'd be less of a need for 10+ factories, and the oh so annoying process of moving 40-50 crates between input/output hopper and factories would be greatly lessened.

as far as other professions go...well honestly none of them truly deal with the kind of volume that chefs deal with...hardly anyone runs around with 3 crates of stim b's on them...but theres quite a few that'd be running around with 3 or 4 crates of food on them. tailors and armorsmiths already have a good chunk of their subcomponents in crates of 50+...and other professions have smaller crates. I don't see any harm in subcomponents being in crates of 50, but I could see how crates of finished products should be limited.
