I just learned Domestic Arts IV and I'm well on my way to being a chef, but I just looked and saw the massive amount of xp I need for Novice Chef. Does anyone know what the most efficient item to grind is?(Lowest materials needed w/ highest xp)

Thanks

Um.. why do you refer me to a post about grinding to master chef? I did ask what is the best item to grind to get to novice, and in the beginning of that post you told me to check, it says "I will not cover the grind to novice chef."

You could have at least read that post, or actually answered my question, instead of telling me to go read it when the information isn't even useful to me yet.

So back on topic, who can answer my original question?

My apologies, I misread your post.

As far as grinding to Novice Chef....I would go with stuff in the engineering tree. Remember it all gives you the same experience when you are an artisan.

Grinding artisan boxes goes fastest by getting Engineering III, where you get the schematics for personal harvesters. Harvesters give about 450 general crafting xp each, which makes getting to DomArts IV and Novice Chef much easier. To get to Eng III, the simplest items to grind are survey tools or crafting tools. If you have some units of hide and bone laying around, bone armor segments, boots, and gloves give decent xp.

If all you have are Dom Arts skills, clothing is a pretty good xp source. At Dom Arts IV, you can make travel packs, which also sell pretty well to new players.

I just grind the weapon, droid, and general crafting tool. it gives 69 exp per one, and all you need is a bunch of copper and a bunch of um, i think it was chemical. got me there in a jiffy

You could also ask in the ARTISAN forum since that is an ARTISAN question. Since you feel the urge to be technical about it, why exactly did you come to the chef forum to ask for artisan information...and then get disturbed that you got a chef answer...

guess depends on how many skill pts u have available...i was limited so only went up domestic arts tree. and i found that "wrapped skirts" gave the most exp for the amt of resources used. also because i already had most of those resources already...ground shoes until reached the wrapped skirt lvl. good luck to u
